“A neighborhood dive bar. They have cheap beer, which is what I was looking for. I didn't expect the excellent food as well! It is not the typical dive bar food I'm used to. I got a pizza my first time here. Not only was it excellent, I learned they make the dough and sauce from scratch. Also, every bartender I've had here has been awesome and has treated me like a regular, even though I'm new here. Seeing that this is just a short walk from my house, I know I'll be back many more times.“

“The owner has been getting a lot of remodeling work done in the place, both inside & out. Bathrooms redone, nice brand new solid wood accented with colored resin bar tops. Freshly painted. Inside & out. Nicely rebuilt deck outback for smoking & or food & drinks if you choose. Poker machine area redone, pool tables have brand new bumpers & felt. It really is amazing. I didn't even recognize the place when I walked in it definitely is a step up from when it used to be called Jakes. I definitely recommend a trip there. & hey any BIKERS out there??!! Hop on that scooter & bring your group with you, they are MORE THAN HAPPY to welcome y'all in & have some good & drinks. Depending on where you're riding from it's a nice ride & it's just a few miles heading west bound on HWY-22 off the I-5 & it's only about 6 blocks max from HWY-22. PHILL'S Bar & Grill is located on the corner of 12th St. SE & Rural AVE SE in Salem Oregon. Hit it up ya won't be disappointed that's for sure. Want to have fun there are 7 or 8 pool tables to choose from ( my Ol' Man & I love to play a few 4-5 games of pool.) its also got the same amount of lotto machines if you like to try your luck @ some video poker or slots. Or if you just want to come in & get some food & have a few drinks. Either way it's a great place to do whatever you like. I highly recommend itParking: If the front parking lot is full they have parking out back & on the road if need be. “Went here last month to celebrate a family member turning 21. It was a super good time and the bartender was super nice and helpful and made me a drink that he's never made before. It was really awesome sitting at the bar and being able to watch sports up close. The food was pretty darn good. “So I have been a few times and had a very good experience. But yesterday I showed up at 12:05 ordered my food To-go was told it was going to be a 20min wait not a big deal I had nothing going on. The man who ordered right before me and sitting at the same table got his food, then I noticed others after me getting food as well. I was playing a game on my phone thing well anytime now. The young girl came By with food and asked I ordered this I said no. Still no food. The guy sitting next to me finished his food and Sid I guess they have to kill a chicken for your order. I just ordered 16 wings and mozzarella cheese sticks not a hard order. 45 min now go by and I ask about my food and still nothing. I then asked the guy hey can I just get a refund and he said well you food has been done it was just sitting in the back for 10-15min. ????? I then asked can I get warm it warmed up cause if it’s sitting that’s not cool. He was like well you have your food now. He then brought me money and said I can give you money back for the mozzarella cheese sticks, but not the wings, I said, I am not asking for a refund. All I want is a warm food cause it’s been sitting back there. I asked for a manager and he said that’s him. Well then can I talk to someone over you. He then told me to google I wings and I can get the number back to the restaurant and it would be him I would be talking too. He brought me over a yellow pad I left my number and still have not a call back.“
