What a great place to get some coffee and meet people. Bring some friends, or make some new ones. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly.

coffee is good, options for breakfast are good. service good. the place is unique, it's a bit challenging for some of the seating areas for short people and it can get loud but still a great place!

The service was very slow when I went, and I was the only person there. It was worth the wait. I got a muffin and a smoothie and they were both very good.

I didn't know this was a church coffee shop

Excellent Coffee! They use freshly roasted coffee beans from a local roasting company in Silverton. Great prices and value!

I'm always searching for local coffee shops over the ubiquitous Starbucks or Dutch Bros. Traveling up to Salem the other day was no different. Of course, I turned to Yelp for options since I'm not too familiar with the area and found Higher Ground, which was conveniently located about a mile from my sister's house (our final destination). The location is a bit odd, as you'll find it set back in a parking lot at the base of a large church--now I get the name, punny! Quick, friendly service and really reasonable pricing. I ordered 4 espresso drinks (one with a milk alternative) and the total cost was only $14!! And besides being well priced, they were well-made.

Great coffee, wonderful service, very clean and supports a great cause. The only real issue is that the lines tend to really back up as there is a large fluctuation in baristas which means there are people training pretty often which means slower circulation. People should know that most of the baristas are servant leaders (volunteers) so they are not being monetarily compensated.

Great little coffee cafe! (Best in NE Salem). If you're looking for your Starbucks alternative, this is it. It is much nicer, quieter, and cosier. There is soft-seating around the gas fireplace, plus conventional seating throughout. The the visual ambience of art and soft music is just right to get the day started. Plus plenty of outlets for your electronic devices. The only draw backs are that they're only open 7am - 11am, Monday through Thursday, and hard to locate as it shares space with the People's Church. There is a TV above the fireplace, which I'm happy to say is turned off. If you're looking for a quieter place for your morning coffee this is it. It's definitely one place I'll be coming back to!
