Jcs pizza in Keizer was my go to for pizzeria style pizza so I was on the hunt for a replacement when they closed. I have come to a screeching halt at Padington's. we ordered the humdinger and added shrimp. they were very generous with topping. they were pretty busy and short staffed when we came in so I had to wait a bit to place my drink order, so they comped our drinks. Found my new go to 🤤❤️
on my lunch Pizza that's called the Grubstake, one slice had *half* a slice of Canadian bacon and two pea sized pieces ground beef... the second one had two half pieces of thin thin Canadian bacon and one piece of ground beef..WTH?
And even though in the review it says I recommend it, I ***definitely

I'm not sure what happened to customer service in the restaurant industry but last I checked if you're open until 9, then ordering pizza at 8:30 shouldn't be an issue. "well we close soon" I worked in the restaurant industry for 12+ years and if we closed at 9, you were still happily invited in at 8:55. If you close at 8:30 then close at 8:30. If you're open until 9, then I don't want to hear that you close SOON at 8:30. It's a Saturday night! For the owner to mention upon my...read full review

The Original Padington's Pizza North Salem is a beloved local spot that has been satisfying customers for years. With a retro atmosphere, it serves up delicious New York-style pizza with a perfect crust. Customers have praised the pizza for its crispy crust and superb, stretchy, gooey cheese. Many have expressed that, despite being a bit on the pricier side, the pizza is the best tasting in Salem, especially favorites like the Gold Digger (Canadian bacon and pineapple) and Forty-Niner (a combination with sliced fresh tomatoes added after cooking). The restaurant uses mostly fresh ingredients; sliced meats like salami, pepperoni, and Canadian bacon come pre-packaged, but toppings like mushrooms and sausage are cooked fresh. The pizzas are thin-crust, with no thick crust options. The setup is interesting, where drinks are a separate transaction, and service is mainly self-service, with customers called by number to pick up their orders. The dining area features a clean environment with a player piano and a big-screen TV, creating a nostalgic yet simple atmosphere. Customers appreciate the consistency and the flavor of the pizza, though some have noted that the bathroom isn't always the cleanest. One common concern is the lack of a dedicated pickup line or online ordering system, which could improve the experience. Overall, Padington's remains a great place for good food and a relaxed, friendly environment.
