“Place was pretty clean. Employees were friendly. Where I usually run I don't get to see very many McDonald's so when I get to go to one I always do. Not that I mind Subway, Wendy's, or Arby's but I see them all the time. I try to watch my weight when I'm on the road but there is just something about a number 1 with a Sprite and 10 nuggets on the side with sweet and sour sauce that just hits right.

Kid-friendliness: What kid doesn't like McDonald's?“

“I eat at Subway coast to coast, as a truck driver. Love the product, however, today at your Stanfield Oregon location there was an incident today that warrants your attention. The line was long and one person, an employee named Chevy, was ordering and held up an ever growing line of impatient customers with ever changing ridiculous demands. Pepper just on this side, oregano only on the bottom, etc. While instructing his co-worker on every step of his job. He had no regard for the line of angry customers. He held up everything for 10 minutes or better. The gentleman making the sandwich handled it very professionally. As we all complained, I hear that Chevy does this every Sunday. The food was great and the staff behind the counter was too. One off duty employee wreaked havoc with an otherwise smooth process. Hopefully I can spare his co-workers a repeat. Lots of angry customers over one inconsiderate person.“

“We happened to this truck stop for an RV wash and fuel. It was on the back end leg of our trip and we were ready to stop for the day. We had no idea that there was an RV park behind this place. We called and got a spot for our 43 foot rig. We weren't expecting much but when we pulled in, we were greeted by the nicest camp hosts and an IMMACULATE property. Again, this is behind the truck rest area. The landscaping was nice, the park was quiet, the site was level, and hookups were a breeze. We had cable, water, sewer, and 50amp service. We got a discounted military rate but even without it, this park is a steal for what you get! I am currently sitting in a park in Montana that claims to be a "resort" with a third less amenities. We could not believe this was a truck stop. We never heard any disturbing noises from the trucks and did not "feel" like we were at a truck stop. If you are lucky enough to get into this place, grab it while you can. But don't use A1 Truck & RV Wash!“

“So glad that we have a finger-licking KFC in town again. The coleslaw, chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy with biscuits and honey. Oh so good!!

“The Hermiston DQ is the best! The drive thru is lightning fast and the dining room is always clean. We have family here so I've been more times than I can count. The DQ in my hometown though it took a few years the owners ran it into the ground, and it recently closed. They sure could have taken a lesson from the Hermiston DQ!“
