We arrived at Bearscat in the early afternoon after viewing some of the covered bridges in the area. They didn't have too many donuts left; I guess they get most of their customers in the morning. The donuts were OK and the staff was very friendly, although they seemed as if they hadn't completed their training yet.
Stopped here on a whim while passing through Stayton on a day trip. We got a maple cronut, old fashioned, and a chocolate long john filled with cream. They were all SO good. They were so fresh tasting and had a perfect fried crisp to them while being soft on the inside. The cronut was totally perfect, not dry at all which I often find to be the case with cronuts. Yum, we are lucky to have Bearscat in town. I used to work by the Salem location, so after moving to Stayton I was delighted to see they moved in. Nothing bribes a teenager to get out of bed and do chores on a Saturday like a Bearscat Oreo raised donut or a maple bar. The staff are friendly and the donuts are always delicious.
