If you have ever been to Ezell’s in Seattle, this is nothing like it. I have no problem paying for good food, but this wasn’t good and is overpriced.

I’ve been wanting to try Ezell’s chicken for over a year now and just never got around to it. Tonight was the night, and boy was I majorly let down. Maybe I built it up too much thinking it would be something great. I can’t taste a difference between this and some generic fried chicken from the hot deli at any grocery chain. It just tasted so boring and slightly bland. I mean it was fine for something to eat but “famous”? I most certainly won’t be going back for the bone in chicken. I was also really disappointed when I returned home with my takeout order and they had given me a side of mashed potatoes instead of the Mac and cheese I ordered. The mashed potatoes were also bland. My other side was baked beans and the container was 1/4 beans and 3/4 liquid; pretty gross. Did they lose their slotted spoon when serving? I don’t hold much hope for the cobbler , so I’ll prob just feed it to the neighborhood raccoons. I’d save your hard earned money and try fried chicken from a local small business, because Ezell’s reeks of corporate laziness.

Ordered a 16 piece To go the pieces appear to have changed from a year ago did not taste any spiciness on the spicy purchase, no butter, napkins and a tip was taken out for what I don’t know. Ezells in Seattle and Tacoma were always terrific and this place when they first open was too. I don’t know what’s going on now, but I drove all the way from Vancouver and I’m really not sure if I will be back again. What happened?

My wife and I live in Albany Oregon. On the KGW news February 1st 2024, we watched Lewis and his brother show their meals. We decided to drive up to Tigerd to try out their chicken. The 50 minute drive was worth it. I had their spicy tenders combo with mashed potatoes, gravy and roll. Their ranch/barbecue dipping sauce was very good. The chicken tenders were great, seasoned just right (for me) very tasty and hot. The mashed potatoes were very good, made fresh, and tast like homemade. The rolls were great, good flavor and tender. My wife tried their 2 piece original chicken meal. She loved their chicken. She chose potatoe salad as a side, but said it was a bit to salty. She loved the roll. While eating, we had the pleasure of meeting Lewis Rudd, one of the co-founders, a very pleasant man to talk with, and a great personality. Service was great, and a very clean establishment. We will be driving back to Ezells Chicken in the future. It's worth the drive.
I love to eat and order from this place. My boyfriend turned me on to it and I don't regret returning to it to order more food. I love their chicken and rolls the most. I will continue to frequent ezellsKid-friendliness: I am super picky and love to order from this place

This place sucks! Every time I come in they never have chicken ready, always out. It doesn't matter if it's 5PM or 8PM there always some excuse. I like the food but I can't buy it if it's not ready. I don't order 20 pieces, I order 2 or 3 pieces all dark and spicy! Find another place!

My husband and myself would go to Ezell's for chicken every other week. The chicken was great and I was crazy about their sides. After the first of the year they changed their meat options. I use to get two breasts. Now you can get a breast and a wing as your only white meat option for the same price that previously got you two breasts. I was not happy about that, but thought they are probably trying to not raise their price. When I started eating the breast meat, it turned out not to be a breast after all. It was a back. It was not white meat at all, and hardly any meat on the bones. So, instead of two meaty breasts, I got a measly wing and a meatless bony back. Sadly we will not be going back. It is too bad. We loved the food and the service. The people that work there are great as well as the atmosphere, so I gave them both five stars. The sides are fantastic, so I gave the food two stars. The chicken gets barely one star. Too bad they ruined a great thing.
