“Consistently outstanding. They do their own local delivery which is a genuine attribute on a night where you just don't want to venture out.The wait staff is superior and always cheery and friendly. Nothing but the highest praise.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible for physically handicapped diners, perfect for a wheelchair plus during warmer weather they have outside seating that's glorious.“

“Street Wok is an excellent choice if you’re looking for standard Chinese food done exceptionally well. All the regular go-to’s are fresh and well-flavored - sesame chicken, orange chicken, won-ton soup etc. The food is several notches above the usual fare you’ll fine in most US cities. Located in an unremarkable strip mall with basic, almost barren decor, it’s easy to miss. Most people seem to do to-go orders, and the dine-in experience includes a looping Chinese song that played a minimum 12 times during our 30 minute lunch :-)“

“This place took over what used to be Pot & Spicy. The interior is pretty much the same - nice and simple. The food offerings was a bit similar to before. We ordered a few skewers and a bowl of Beef Golden Soup to share. The server was friendly and quick to get our order in. The bacon needle mushroom and beef skewers were tasty, as well as the chicken heart skewers. The popcorn chicken could have used a better batter, in my opinion. It was more of a panko coat to it and needed more spice to it. The Beef Golden Soup was flavorful, and I enjoyed it.“

“One of my top 5 favorite place to eat in PDX. The sesame noodles are bright, fresh, and chewy. Served chilled and perfect for summer time. The pork is tender and perfectly seasoned.I have a difficult time finding food that's not too spicy (seems a current PDX trend). They balance it perfectly. I'd more or less given up on enjoying that mouth numbing delightfulness of the Sichuan peppercorn without being blasted with the heat of a million chilies. But they've found the sweet spot. Prices on par with other places in the area. Plus you can enjoy the food in their neighboring establishment, Holy Ghost.I highly recommend paring any noodle dish with the 5min Gin Fizz!“

“Literally can't not tell you how amazing this place is. Not only are they the KINDEST humans, but the food was beyond incredible. I was craving shrimp, and it was not on the regular menu since it's a random special. Surprisingly, he said he had some and would make it for me. We had the lollipop garlic noodles which were DELICIOUS, tofu, the fried chicken, and shrimp garlic noodles. They were so accommodating. We will be back 1 million percent.“

“Very tasty vegetarian Chinese food.Make sure you plan ahead when coming here. They often take 45-60 minutes but the food is good and many options can be make gluten free. They have a big menu with pictures and symbols for dietary options, which makes it easy to pick. We've had their chow mein a few times (10yo's fave), Singapore noodles, & Buddhist delight chow fun and have enjoyed all.Vegetarian options: Fully vegetarian with vegan options.Dietary restrictions: In addition to vegetarian/ vegan options some dishes can be made gluten free too.Parking: Street parking only and sometimes you have to park a few blocks away“

“They have authentic Orange Chicken! A lot of Chinese restaurants serve the Chicken and sauce separately to save money where you have to dip the chicken into the sauce. Not at Golden Taste! They actually take the time to cook the sauce INTO the chicken which is the way it should be done! Also their fried won ton is the best I had in a long time! Friendly staff and good atmosphere. This is my go to place from now on.“

“Very good service. Maybe even better food. The portions are maybe a little on the smaller side, but it's relative to the lower pricing and the better quality more than makes up for it.There are a few good Chinese restaurants in the area, but this one wins overall when considering everything.“

“We visited on a Sunday afternoon, so it was expected to be crowded, but we were able to get a seat. We ordered the Szechuan Wonton with Chilli Oil, Mapo Tofu with Ground Pork, Eggplant with Ground Pork, and Steamed Rice. Actually we were disappointed that our favorite Chinese restaurant was closed, but all the dishes here were delicious enough to rival it. The Mapo Tofu was the best I've ever had. I would love to try other dishes here as well.?04/14/2024We came here to try the other dishes because we enjoyed all of them last time. We had the Dumplings, House Special Garlic Pork Spare Ribs and Leek & Pork Dumplings this time. I personally didn't like the Dan Dan Noodles because the peanuts were too overpowering (so, actually Frank's is still my personal #1 choice yet). The spare ribs were salty and brought out the flavor of the ingredients, which my husband liked a lot, but I prefer them braised in soy sauce and tenderized, so the strong smell of pork was not good for me. The dumplings were delicious.?✨“

“This place is seriously my favorite restaurant in Portland, if not anywhere. The orange veggie chicken is my go to, and the shrimp is also amazing. I've been a vegetarian for 13 years and very rarely have I found veggie Chinese food that isn't tofu. The options here are mindblowing.“

“This place is fantastic. My fiancée and I had dinner and we got our food and we were expecting it to be at least 90 bucks. It was 63 bucks! Easily one of the best Chinese restaurants we've been too. Customer service is absolutely wonderful. The tea was delicious and the food was mouth watering. It was so satisfying. Definitely recommend this“

“Great little chinese restaurant with a good menu selection. The lunch portions are good sized, and the fortune cookies are not stale. Best egg foo young I've had in awhile, good gravy. The sweet and sour sauce wasn't over sweetened and the batter was not over fried and extra crunchy. We'll be coming back for sure.“

“The boiled liver kidney and tripe was very good - tender with savory sauce. And there’s lots of veggie underneath too.The congee is really savory - although I wouldn’t order the black chicken congee again, it’s weird to have chicken pieces in it.The wonton noodle was ok - not much flavor but lots of noodles.“

“Never disappoints! Love their napa cold slaw salad that comes with the buns, always crunchy and yummy. Miso pork belly bun is so freakin good I keep coming back for MORE! The bun itself is so fluffy and most likely the best steamed bun you can find in town!“

“We tried BHP bc Hot Pot City was closed. Oh my. What a treat! If, like me, you are heartbroken that HPC closed, BHP has been waiting for you. Instead of AYCE, they bring out a mass of food. Plenty of beef and beautifully marbled pork. There was a basket of cabbage and bok choy. A tray w tofu, clear noodles, enoki mushrooms, meatballs and tofu sheets. Never had them before and they were quite tasty. And, the handmade noodles!! We had the split half spicy, half regular broth. My brother eats chile peppers whole. He could handle the spicy. I love spicy but next time I will go regular and dip in chile oil. The broth is very tasty even before you start cooking. I wish I saved room to drink it all, but we were stuffed. You could easily feed three and enjoy potsticker and more veggies. We will definitely be back!!Parking: BHP is setback from the street, in the back of the parking lot.i had a navigator who directed me. I would have passed it.“

“This a dim sum banquet hall. There isn't really any atmosphere or service to speak of. It's just all about the food. The place is huge and full of gigantic tables. If you came here with 2 people or 20 people, they would seat you immediately. Best to come with more people so you can taste everything. They roll over carts full of delicious dim sum, and you just point to whatever you want. Everything is very tasty, and each dish is only a few dollars.Get the cucumbers!“

“Literally one of the best Chinese food places I’ve eaten at in the Portland area. I don’t understand any of the under 4-5 star reviews here! Everything we’ve tried from this place has been amazing, incredibly flavorful, nourishing and delicious. The Sour Won Ton Soup, Mongolian Beef Chow Mein, Kung Pao Chow Mein, any of their fried rice, and the rib dishes are some of our favorites. Very reasonably priced as well considering most restaurant pricing these days. They also have a yummy drink menu with bubble teas. Perfect place for a date night, family meal or getting takeout. If you live in Happy Valley and you haven’t tried this place yet…definitely do!!“

“The food is really good if you're craving traditional Chinese breakfast/brunch dishes. It's small, and thankfully the servers and menu are multi lingual (English, Cantonese, and Vietnamese). They're nice and give you your space after taking your order.“

“Great food and super fast!! Menu isn't super big but has all of the classics, we tried their xiao long bao which was super hot and tasty, snow pea vegetable which was fragrant with garlic and spice, steamed buns which were great (it comes with 6 so we took some home and had them later which was great), and jian bing which were super flavorful. They only have coke, sprite, Fanta, a couple of beers, and tea available and we saw a few people bring their boba in to pair with their meal ^_^ can't wait to try their beef noodle soup, pot stickers, and youtiao!!“

“Best chow fun in town. Can't get fresher noodles anywhere because they supply most of the Chinese restaurants and stores in town with their noodles. Their fried rice is really good, too. They also make their own tofu, both fresh and fried. Their rice noodle rolls are good, too. just have to get their early in the day because they sell out fast. The owners are some of the nicest people and work extremely hard. Love giving them my business.“
“Greetings,Was hungry after work and the Veggie Lo Mein looked good and wasn't too spendy. It was delicious and flavorful with lots of veggies. Would definitely get again.Have also tried a bubble tea that was good as well, and I like I could choose the milk and it includes 2 add ins.Customer service is excellent ?. Great job all around: thank you!“

“I ordered large hot and sour soup and it's the best I have ever had. It's perfect. Filled with meat and goodness. It has more ingredients than I've had in hot and sour soup before. The hot and sour soup I've had from other restaurants have had more water than ingredients. It has the perfect amount of spicy for a price of $7, that's wonderful. It's a beautiful restaurant inside and out. I love the lighting and decorations. It's a very peaceful environment. Happy year of the Dragon. (:Every moment is a golden one for him who has the vision to recognize it as such. ?Parking: They have a one way parking lot/loop. It was busy which is a good sign but there was a spot for me.“

“I have never been to this place in all my life. But today I was at the seafood store next door to this restaurant and I was hungry, so my dad and I decided to check out this place. Our waitress gave us a nice table, and we ordered our food. It came surprisingly quickly and it was delicious. We couldn't finish all the food, so we took it home.In all, this was perfect experience. Customer service was exelent, and the exterior is majestic. It is like you have been transported to another country for a little time if you life.I recommend that everyone come to this restaurant. Trust me, you will not regret it.“

“We had lunch here. Very clean restaurant with clean bathroom. Their roast pork and duck seemed to be very popular. Lots of take-outs for those items. Roast duck sold out by the time we finished lunch. Right amount of salt in their food. We will definitely return in the future.“

“While the outside lacks visual interest as landscaping and the building is not up to snuff, (grungy back area facing street to north and main parking area) , it is a very comfortable place to enjoy a nice meal. Friendly service always from greeting through the meal...choices are varied and always well made. I have gone back multiple times. It is reasonable in price too.“
“Love this place! Never been there but I use DoorDash. LOVE the egg drop soup. Has some veggies in it along with plenty of egg, nice texture. Also love the fried rice, and the spring rolls are fabulous. Food travels well. It always makes me happy. Gotta go, it just arrived....“

“I hadn’t ordered from New Hings in years but I decided to give it a try. The dishes I ordered were top notch. I mean really good. The string beans in black sauce used fresh, delicious string beans! And the black bean sauce was fresh and flavorful. And of course there is their famous egg rolls that are like donuts filled with cabbage and shrimp. A guilty pleasure. Now I won’t need to drive up to 84th in Portland for a quick Chinese food fix.“

“We play the occasional pool match out of here. The tables are decent. They've had problems with the roof leaking occasionally, and that might shut down a table or two. They do their best to get the roof fixed, but the leak seems to keep moving spots. The chinese food is great and one of my favorite places to get some. They've added a covered back patio in the last couple of years and have an older pool table out there.Parking: Parking is out front and back, with a few spots along one side of the building.“
“When it comes to the "3 star rule" for Chinese food, Bamboo Cafe breaks the norm. Do not brush this spot off. The food is fairly priced (all food is expensive these days, get over it) and it was even better priced a few years ago.Large servings, great flavor, fast service. What more could you ask for? Been coming here for years and it has been consistent the whole time. I will continue to come here into the future and I can only pray that they stay open until the day I die.“

“This place has great food and oh so good service. Lunch special is 8.95 and includes soup spring roll and rice. Kung pao chicken is delicious. Might want to stay away from the Sesame beef. Too much coating for my taste. Best Chinese food since we moved back here 8 yrs. ago. You should try it.“

“Wow. All I can say is wow! This place was so much fun. The bartender was great (I think her name was tabby). The prices were pretty good. At first you walk in and see a very small space with almost nothing going on but after 2 hours of drinking you find yourself surrounded by interesting and fun people. We have been here twice and had lots of fun both times. The only thing I can complain about is the terrible fried food and I've heard that some staff work for free. Also there is no beer on tap and you can never win on the gambling machines.“

“Very fun way to eat, the food comes by and you get to choose from quite a variety of dumplings, buns, noodles, meats and veggies. It was very relaxing and we enjoyed it so much .The out of town guests were sure there's nothing else like this ! ( from Colorado) Service is friendly and not pressured . We came recently at about 11:30 on a weekday and it wasn't crowded at all, although the weekend crush is real. The food is tasty, you can get baked or steamed bao, you can request things you don't see also. The noodles look like they are just plain noodles but they are extra well flavored.“
