The sushi here is shockingly good!!!Some of the best quality tuna I have ever had, and sushi is one of my favorite foods so I eat it everywhere when I travel. The tuna cucumber hand rolls were delightful, the taro Boba tea was decent, soup was good as well. They were able to tell me what was gluten free so I could stay safe. I am so upset they aren't open during the rest of my trip or I would be here at least once a day, if not every meal!

I had an absolutely atrocious experience today. When I opened the bag it smelled like a boat dock. I should have stopped there My Color Dragon Roll was overwhelmed by extremely fishy eel. I had to remove it and it still tainted everything with fishy liquid soaked into it. I also had white tuna sushi which is typically delicate and buttery. This white tuna was cut such that I couldn't bite through it. And when I did it also tasted extremely fishy. That fishiness means bacteria. I, sadly, ate one piece of each and then tossed them. Also, the pickled ginger tasted really sour like it was old. I have never had such a terrible sushi experience. I ended up ordering a second lunch because this all went in the trash.

Ordered sushi rolls out of my comfort level and they were amazing! Give the paradise roll a try, the tempura shrimp and banana works. The volcano roll is awesome as well. Ordered through uber eats. Delivery was fast and fresh.

AMAZING sushi! Just got done having lunch here with my husband. We both got the Phoenix Roll (shrimp tempura and cucumber inside with avocado and GORGEOUS bright red ahi tuna outside). It was so good, we could not stop saying YUM!!! with each bite. It felt completely safe ordering inside then eating at a nice outside table. We are hooked and will be back again and again! A+++

Excellent sushi and friendly, fast service. Contrary to what other reviewers have said, the spicy, crunchy tuna roll is extremely tasty and exactly how it should be. Perfect fish-to-rice ratio. We're very lucky to have Shinsen in Allentown!
I was very excited to see a sushi place at the Allentown Market. I ordered the BMW roll yesterday on my lunch break. The spicy tuna inside the roll was blended and seemed as if it was previously frozen. It had a strange freezer burn taste to it. I was expecting a nice whole piece of tuna not a tuna puree. On my second piece I immediately felt sick to my stomach and had to run to the bathroom to throw up. I will return to the Allentown Market, but I won't go to Shinsen again. This was very disappointing. Not to mention embarrassing that I was on my knees in my work bathroom with my head in a trash can. Never again!!

Stopped by Allentown for lunch. Husband got the Poke Bowl with three toppings (Salmon, Tuna, and Yellowtail) and we shared the Signature rolls: Sex and the City, BMW, Color Dragon, Phoenix. Surprisingly, we found everything to be quite fresh and tasty. Pricing was what we expected (it's cheaper than what we pay back home) considering what we ordered. Service was quick. 4 Thumbs Up... Would definitely come back again!

I had a poke bowl and a peanut avocado roll for lunch and they were both magnificent. The people who worked there were super sweet and and I had my food served and ready super quickly. They were amazeballs. I could have eaten two more bowls.
