“My family recently held a wake in the event room at Cornerstone. The room was spacious, attractive, and comfortable. Loved the old tin ceiling. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The restaurant modified recipes and presentation to accommodate food restrictions. The icing on the (cup)cake was the waitstaff, who were attentive without being overbearing, efficient, and more than pleasant. Highly recommend.

Vegetarian options: Our buffet menu included vegetarian pasta, salad, green beans with shallots, roasted fingerling potatoes, and bread and butter. The restaurant menu provides several veggie options, including a veggie burger and veggie omelets.

Dietary restrictions: Accommodations were made for dairy, carrot, and nut allergies, as well as gluten restrictions. The whole family was able to eat delicious food safely.

Kid-friendliness: They made one young guest buttered noodles when the buffet options were not to his 5 year old taste.”

“I thought the pizza was pretty good! I wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve had, even in Pittsburgh. But it’s definitely good! The dough is fluffy which I love. For some reason when I ordered online, they didn’t have the vegan pepperoni. The cheese is a massive upcharge too…”

“A group of 5 of us visited Dish last night and the meals were amazing. Grilled Squid, the best I have ever had. Where else can you find it not breaded and fried? Add to that their amazing sardines so fresh and good. Pasta Funghi another high. Exquisite detail to taste in every dish. The owners go way out of their way to make you feel welcomed and happy and very satisfied. A must visit when you are lucky enough to get a reservation though other friends have happily sat at the bar for dinner just to be there!! Kudos to Dish!”

“Had high expectations for this place but the food just wasn’t that great :/ I ate solo and even tried to fit in 3 dishes but neither of them really hit. Pierogi were nicely crisped on the outside but the romesco-like sauce on the bottom made the dish more on the acidic side, especially since there was already pickled relish on top, and I found myself wishing for more fat or sweetness. I actually used ricotta that came with bread and it tasted much better with it. Lobster roll filling was excellent but I wished they’d actually toasted the bread on the inside and not on the outside. Eating soft white bread of which there was a lot just didn’t feel great. Finally, the skate had good flavor and shishitos were a cute touch but the fish was severely undersalted (it’s a thick fillet) and the sauce on the bottom was, again, mostly acidic and didn’t help much.

The flavors were SO delicious and everyone loved their meals. It's great they offer vegetarian protein choices and substitutes. Owners are super friendly. We can't wait to come back again!”

“This is a special place. Liege waffles are very different than anything I've ever had. They are made from a yeast dough, with caramelized brown sugar inside, smallish, and served warm in a napkin so that you can take it with you while window shopping. Please note: these are not meant to be served with ice cream on top. The ice cream and waffles are both very good by themselves. The owner only serves them together because people ask for that, but I think they ask for it because they think that's how it's meant to be served. (At least, that's what we thought!)”
