“During our journey from Baltimore to Pittsburgh, we decided to take a break at Hoss's Steak & Sea House. To my astonishment, my children, who previously showed little interest in salads, were thrilled with the salad bar's extensive variety. It's an ideal spot for travelers heading from the DMV area to Pittsburgh.Kid-friendliness: Kids will love this place. They serve icecream too. You can eat as much as you can with the salad bar option.”

“So much fun here for our late Christmas work party! The food and service were excellent, and the heated deck was still comfortable in the low teens windchill. I had the Reuben and sweet potato fries and tried the pretzel. Highly recommend!”

“It's a great little spot for the working class. The owners are working hard to make a living. Support our locally owned business instead of taking your money and giving it to some big corporate company. The small businesses is this country was based upon we're not all perfect but when you're hungry, stop and grab a beer, grab some of the french fries and only place in town to have chicken gizzards. They're awesome get the ones with the onions and peppers support local businesses because their children went to your school and you knew them growing up.”

“I visited The Pub on a whim while traveling to Bedford. I like checking out local spots when traveling. We happened to visit during the St. Patrick’s Day happenings and snagged an open table. They had some great food and beverage options for St. Patrick’s Day so we tried a couple drinks and ordered dinner. The food was really good and our server Colton was great!We had the Chef’s Burger and Fish & Chips, but there were so many things on the menu that I would have liked to try.Definitely a cool spot to check out if you’re in the area!”

“Great location pretty building we had the Greek bowl it was plentiful and delicious. The lamb meatballs were very flavorful! I also had the tomato basil soup that was served piping hot and was very good. Soup came with what I believe were house made crackers. Had a good selection of vegetarian options. I would definitely eat here again even if I have to go a little out of my way to do so it was that good! Service you place order at counter and the food is brought out. Service was fast and food was hot!”

“Small brewery with small bar sharing a space with local bike shop, "Fat Jimmys Outfitters" in Central PA. There are no food offerings however they offer food trucks. Beer is great, however Brewery lacks ambiance. The space is very limited sharing space with the bike shop. Hopefully a restaurant is in the works. Dog Friendly Brewery. The brewery has been open for 5 years. I like the "Not Your Average Joe" which tastes clean and refreshing. I've had the beer at Bella Terra Vineyards and at the Omni Bedford in "Tillie's at the Clubhouse". 4 % ABV”

“My wife and I attended one of the chef tasting events, which are held every Fri & Sat night. The restaurant was set up with a "single" long table, reminiscent of some of the restaurants my wife and I have visited in Italy. The food was delicious and the portions sizes were filling. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the Bedford area.”

“The place is small but steady diners came through, even at 3 on a Saturday. Smallest Chinese buffet I ever visited. Food was all good, and I ate quite a few things. Except the sushi. I don’t do sushi.”

“We love to stop in to get subs at this Subway on Business 220 in Bedford. The ladies do a fantastic job making our subs. The subs are delicious! Everything is fresh. The Steak and Cheese sub and Spicy Italian sub are excellent. Just tried the brand new #7 MexiCali sub. It’s a must try if you like to try new subs on the menu. Everything looks very clean. Quick service. Always patiently waiting on us to decide. Service is always good.”

“My wife and I came to HeBrews on our honeymoon in the off season (May) and got a cup of coffee. The environment was lovely with the local folk, smiles everywhere and wonderful service. Such an enjoyable environment. If you’re looking for snacks for dietary needs, however, this is not the place. Lovely coffee though!Dietary restrictions: Not applicable unfortunately.”

“We were traveling through Bedford. Knew about the Meadows from other locations. So anytime we see one we just have to stop and have some wonderful custard. This place is wonderful with friendly staff and great prices. Great tasting custard with daily flavors. I say if you're near make sure to stop and get some cold treats.”

“We were on our way home on the turnpike and decided to have an easy off/easy on rest break in Bedford. We stopped for ice cream at The Penguin since I had read online that they had vegan options. I was so happy to find not only did they have vegan ice cream made from oat milk, but that it wasn’t just vanilla but another flavor too. The oat ice cream was so good! My husband had a soft serve of pistachio and raspberry and said it was delicious as well. This is definitely worth a stop! The Penguin had a wide variety of ice cream flavors and soft serve flavors - great ice cream store!”

“Great food. Family liked the different choices. Ham egg and cheese croissant was very good. Chocolate chip muffin was large and tasty. White chocolate mocha was just right - not too sweet and not too bitter. Friendly staff as well!”

“we choose to dine at 1796 for our anniversary dinner which happens to also be Valentine's day...FIRST, the host greeted us and when we gave our name, he said "Happy Anniversary so glad you choose to dine with us"...most importantly he looked us in the eyes and was genuine about it...not a process. We were given the option of where we'd like to sit, and our choice was the couples chair. The ambience with low dim lights and fragrance of fresh prepared foods enlightened our senses. Our server was on top of her game in all area of attentiveness, explanation and overall professional and friendly. She's going to law school! Out comes our delicious NY Strip with asparagus, carrots, mashed potatoes....family style. Oh how, we miss family style. This provokes conversations and memories. The steak was done to perfection...juice flowing, tender bites and the sides were the best. We strongly enjoyed our special evening and will be back.”

After trying two other restaurants in the area at 8:30 on a Friday night (one closed at 8 and the other was closed for a private party) we waltzed into the pizza shop 15 mins before close (9pm). It was our last hope in a town that sleeps early.The owner couldn’t have been kinder to let us dine-in. We even offered to just order carry out because we felt bad coming in so late. No problem! Very friendly staff.The white pizza is FANTASTIC. Highly recommend this venue for both food and service. A true “mom and pop” shop that respects their customers and goes above and beyond. A+”

“I discovered this little pizza establishment( located inside the Wolfsburg sac shop) about six months ago and I gotta hand it to them, they make a great pizza. It’s best to get it fresh, but if you’re looking to grab a slice or two there is usually some in their little warmer thing. Just depends on what they put out. Excellent crust and the sauce is exceptional too. Highly recommend giving them a try”

“We had dinner last night at the bar downstairs. We ordered the crab dip, burger, shrimp wontons and the haddock. Everything was great, though not surprising because it was a return visit. Service always VERY friendly and accommodating. Great spot. In the past we've gotten the crab legs that were absolutely perfect (hard to find in Bedford).”
