Okay, it's a hotdog shack and if you don't like hotdogs you have no business being here. But it is an ideal spot to grab a quick lunch while fishing the fantastic trout streams in the area. I have not been here for several years and was very glad to see that Mr Hotdog was still open and serving their fantastic Texas dogs. Great staff including a friendly waitress and a owner who is a solid guy that chatted with me about the troubles of the world for a good 20 minutes. I moved here about 8 years ago and tried it one day. Over time i probably go there at least once a month. I have never had a bad meal including breakfast, lunch, dinner. The menu is limited but that probably why the prices are so good. Its very clean and friendly. For the price you can’t beat it. Yes the young buck in there needs to hold his tongue sometimes, but he’s young and will learn that people come to eat and not talk politics.
I have been coming to this small restaurant since I was a young man. When my father was still alive, any time he was in this area he always wanted to stop and grab a couple dogs. I swear the dogs taste the same as they did 40 years ago. Delicious! If you love a good chili dog this is a place you'll want to stop. Nice people, great service and even better prices. The food and service is very consistent. It is a small place and a little dated but it is clean and very easy to get in and out of.

Only reason I gave this Experience a one star was the nice lady waiting on us only thing I had a problem with her was as soon as we got in there she thought we would know what we wanted..... but the main problem I had was the owners son yelling at the TV... football was on penn state vs Ohio but still if you have people in you shouldn't be Swearing and yelling at the TV Then talking to another customer about government things and how it's the woman's fault if she were to dress provocatively it's her fault if something were to happen to her at that point I got up and wanted to leave.. We had vouchers that we were told that would work there the waitress asked the owner's son if they would and he said no he came over with an attitude Telling us this is why people need to learn the names we are Mr. Hot dog house or whatever and the other one is just the hot dog house It was so rude to the point where I had to tell him he didn't have to come at me with that attitude SoThat was the 1st and last experience that I will have there I do not recommend this place to anybody The food was so so
