if I could give 0 stars I would!! I seriously don't get the hype about this place. I came in last week , I got beef tacos & the beef was DRY & had NO flavor like it wasn't seasoned at all. ? on top of that the wait time is insane mind you it was only me and 2 other customers, can't imagine what it would be like if it was busy. if you want to waste money on trash Mexican food I recommend this place. 0/10

I'm born and raised here. Zapata's went out of business many years ago. Employees of that excellent establishment started General Z's. It was excellent for years. Now, they must have sold it. The tacos are thrown together, the little bit of cheese not melted, all the familiar staff gone...

Decently good food here...nothing to rave about thats for sure but it was decent none the less....ive seen people write that taco bell would be better and i think theyre getting carried away with that testiment.....only reason I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 3 is because of how small the portions are for the price.....I know the price of food is through the roof right now but still...I feel like rice 'n' beans has a lot better portions but they're not open on Sundays unfortunately. Probably won't be ordering from here ever again.

This place has absolutely amazing homemade tortillas and chips and authentic spanish food and is a hidden gem on Southside. Food may take a bit but trust me it’s worth it, the food is so damn good.

We went today for lunch and I am so disgusted. If I could give no stars I would! There was long black HAIR not in one but 2 of our mini taco meals. GROSS! Obviously my daughter was hungry and agreed to wait another 15mins for another order to be made and towards the end of that order she had found another small black piece hair in that taco order. The messed up part is We were still charged for their mistake, HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT/CUSTOMER SERVICE! Will never support this business again!
