Charming 'Old Town Inn' with beautiful surroundings & landscaping.Food...not so great. We ordered drinks, and the seafood sampler to share - 2 of everything - Mushrooms stuffed with a mayonnaisy crabmeat stuffing, scallops wrapped in bacon, some kind of mayonnaisy fish cake, & clams casino. Everything was deep fried. Blah!I had the haddock stuffed with crabmeat. The haddock was only okay, but the crab stuffing was the same old mayonnaisy crab mixture, no lump crabmeat.A "crown" of steamed broccoli (I like broccoli but it's not what I go out for dinner for) & a baked potato which is... a baked potato.Service was good, but we so rushed & we were the only ones in the restaurant. At one point we had our drinks, appetizers & our salad on the table all at once, then our dinners rapidly followed. ("Here's your hat, here's your coat, don't let the door knob ... on the way out)When dining out, one usually likes to enjoy each course separately and preferably leisurely. I thought, and it tasted like I was in a diner. Too pricey for this kind of food.I would not recommend this restaurant for a date night or a celebration. It "might" be okay for a 'stop for a drink and a sandwich' joint, but no comment here!

I love this place. It is my go-to place after an amazing DeSales play/show. The staff are great. They seem to like their jobs. If you go here on a Saturday, there is also a magician who does illusions directly in front of you. The food is delicious. There is a huge variety of options, even for those who are a bit picky with their food. The French onion soup alone is worth going there to eat. My daughter and girlfriend said, don't forget to leave a note in the bathroom before you leave.Parking: There are three parking lots, which is great. It is very unique.Kid-friendliness: It is a great place for families to eat. My daughter loves their kid's menu. The menu is very affordable for families.

Feels like it's living off a past reputation... It was an upscale eatery with pleasant staffing and several reasonable choices on the menu. Now it's just an expensive bar with a typical menu.

Great like restraunt...they specialize in trout dishes...they raise their own from a fresh spring under the restraunt... their other dishes are good also...our waitress was fantastic! Would go there again... I had the chicken piccatta & it was really good...the seafood sampler appetizer was excellent!!! Would recommend to share...

We decided to come here for a birthday celebration. Unfortunately we left feeling upset. I wouldn't recommend this place, especially if you have large party or need to get in and out in less than 2.5 hours. We made a reservation for 7 people. We sat down at 6:45, ordered by 7:10, and it took until 8:35 to get most of the meals, with one meal forgotten. About an hour into waiting I checked on our food, and was told it was coming right out. 10 minutes later I asked to talk to a manager and instead of bringing them over the waiter got defensive, told us it was busy season, they were understaffed and it was tough luck. Finally the manager (maybe also a cook in the kitchen?) came out and nervously told us they got slammed and maybe he said sorry (unclear). He decided to comp the meal that came late – didn't really help the rest of us who had to wait and were on separate checks.Strangely someone from our party showed up 30 minutes after we ordered, he ordered his food and it came out within 15 - 20 minutes. That is when we realized we had been waiting a heck of a long time for our food.Honestly would have just been nice to be informed that things were taking a bit longer than normal OR even have been asked if we wanted another round of drinks. I do not leave reviews, honestly because it hurts small business, but yall need to know this was not ok. My stomach hurts, not saying its your fault, but its a bit strange...wonder if it was because the food was sitting out under a heat lamp while you were trying to finish the order???? (we were told at one point our order for 7 people was taking longer than the 1 person who came late, because they wanted to serve the 7 at once which makes me think the food was sitting under a heat lamp...also didn't look the freshest...)Edit: it seems at least 4 of us have stomach aches / grumbly / bubbly stomachs…

Portion of trout was small. Not much protein. Potato like warm. Only saw our server twice and got our food 45 minutes after we ordered.

Went there off time. Not yet dinner but that was my plan. Staffing was limited, but only because of the time we arrived. The manager handled many duties well. Bartender, waiter and host he performed all dities well. Food was very good, I had catfish done perfect, my wife had crab fettuchini. Both were done well. We will definitely go back soon. A gem in a great area, away from a lot. Worth your time.

I went here with my dad as part of a meetup with a group about a month(?) ago. The location is neat (we sat outside). I walked the grounds a bit to see the spring, fountain, etc. I also recovered from the water a menu insert that escaped the server (yes, she said thanks). Our server seemed... iffy... about our presence. I personally wasn't offended by her, but some of the other members of the group felt dissed. I'm not a cheery disposition kind of person, so I forgive people for not being chipper to serve me. I'm hoping that nothing about us in specific was a problem for her. It's worth pointing out that, after taking drink orders, the server announced that they would not allow separate checks. I'm not new to this; some places just refuse separate checks with large groups. It might have to do with the fees they pay for each credit card transaction, as well as the time spent processing each payment. If people needed cash, apparently there was a cash machine inside (??). This did not go over well with the group, though. I paid attention while the money was collected and everyone was studious about making sure the check was covered, and had a proper tip (so there was no retaliation on the group's part for any dissatisfaction). I'm vegan, my dad is sort of pescatarian, so neither of us wanted meat, and the menu pretty clearly showed this place being an American Meat Place (my interpretation, not a quote from the menu). I found that they have one non-meat dish: a veggie stir-fry on rice. My dad & I both ordered it. Being an American Meat Place, I expected the veggie stir-fry to be underwhelming... and it was, so I wasn't exactly let down. My dad, who was paying for both of us, was irritated. The serving size was smallish, the vegetables were basic and fairly soft, and there was no apparent seasoning. For the cost, it just wasn't a worthwhile meal. Some other members of the group seemed to like their meals, though one person remarked about not finding a lot of flavor in their Shepherd's Pie (to which someone joked "needs more shepherd"). I did not hear any serious complaints nearby, but I didn't take a survey of the group. Ultimately, my dad and I would not return, but I don't know about others in the group. I hope my "meh" experience isn't common for this place, but I also want to make reviews that are useful to people who may be in my situation, so here is that review.

Awesome spot! Will was an awesome waiter and the food was great. $7 for a downeast lemonade is a little steep, but keep an eye out for Joseph Keppel's magic shows on Saturday night, they're not to miss.

This place is a gem. Best food in the area. Cold beer. This place is beautiful and stunning. The outdoor side is awesome during the summer. They have live music. The Trout and Crab is delicious. I love the wings. All the food is good. Almost have had everything on the menu.
