“We were passing through and ordered two apps at half price and a burger medium rare. Apps were great but when we took a bit of the burger, it was raw inside. The waitress was nice and had our burger remade. Good burger but we were charged for the raw burger as well as the one we ate. It could have been accidental but maybe not. Good place for food but recommend checking your receipt.“

“Doordash botched an order and the new owner took full responsibility and made it right for us without needing any contact from us or the app. Which lbr usually you only find out your order is wrong AFTER you've received it and have to deal with CS. Correcting the platforms mistake and taking the time to get our entire order to us alone deserves thousands of stars, but I'll have to settle with a measly five. We already have visited quite a few times, but are all the more happy to keep doing so knowing there's awesome folks like this working there.“

“I visited acacia for the first time and really loved their cocktails. I was afraid that without reservations, the wait would be too long. But even on a Saturday evening in Southside, we easily got a table at 8:30pm. I got The Architect which was spicy and refreshing. The service is amazing and they will make any drink off the menu as well. I asked for a Mai Tai and got the best one I've ever had. Definitely recommend this bar to go to with friends. The ambience is also easy-going and chill for catching up with friends or relaxing after a long day.“

Bocadillos Bar Bar •
2827 California Ave, Pittsburgh - 8.75 miles

“Kicking myself for not driving up the hill sooner to this incredible Pittsburgh gem! The food: outstanding and fresh. The drinks: Delicious. The glassware: so fun. The owner and staff: incredible people. We visited on the last night of the season before the owner makes the trek home for some well-deserved time off for the holidays. (They'll be back in Feb). We had lovely conversations with the staff and other bar patrons. It's a lovely cozy space and the perfect environment for talking to strangers. There are some beautiful photos on the wall used as conversation starters from the owners travels. I tried the pickle martini and some of the house-made wines, all were so tasty. The food blew me out of the water. The Iberian plate was a perfectly curated mix of the most delicious meats, cheeses, olives, kimchi, etc. We got lucky that day as the owner had prepared her famous lamb. She slices it thin and serves it with a generous portion of pita bread and house made dips including tatziki and red pepper hummus. I'm dreaming of eating and drinking here again and can't wait to become a regular.“

“NGL this grilled cheese - cheese burg combo was a dream. If you ever thought to yourself, "this burger could use a grilled cheese," "this grilled cheese could use a burger" or never thought any of those in your life but love GOUD cheesy food- this one is for you. The Texas toast (don't know if that's what it was but that's what it felt like) was buttered to the gawds above. Ruggers knows the CTS (cheese to sando) ratio and went above and beyond the call of duty. The burg patty was flavorful itself and held its own up next to the overflowing cheese mountain that surrounded it. The fries were a perfectly salted addition to the sando. It was as mouthwateringly delicious as it looks and #GOUDapproved from all angles over here. Mondays are also taco night so you gotta pick up a few tacos SIGNATURE! “I am so glad I found this place! It’s a neat little bar with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere and great music. As soon as I walked in, the owner greeted me and took the time to help me pick out a cigar. He made suggestions for me based on what I normally smoke and the cigar I chose was excellent. Most folks in there seemed to be regulars and we all had great conversation. In my experience, some cigar bars can be a bit pretentious or intimidating but this place is quite the opposite - it’s got a Cheers bar feel and everyone is down to earth. It’s not very often you sit down and chat with the owner of an establishment. Whether you’re a regular cigar smoker or a newbie, this bar is the place to be. The prices are phenomenal as well. Definitely will be back!“

“My partner and I made our way up to Huszar on the North Side last night for dinner and it was spectacular. We started out with an order of lángos, Hungarian fried bread topped with garlic butter and mozzarella cheese. The texture was spot-on but the taste was out of this world. We also ordered a side of their red cabbage salad that I couldn’t get enough of. The cabbage was tender but still had a nice crisp to it and it was very balanced with just the right amount of sugar and salt. I ordered the chicken paprikás with traditional dumplings. The first bite took me back to my grandmother’s dining room table. The chicken was extremely tender and flavorful and the sauce was mild and perfectly seasoned. The cloud-like dumplings were the perfect accompaniment. My partner ordered the bakonyi pork and it was equally as delicious. I don’t think I’ve ever seen pork pounded that thin and still be tender. The mushroom gravy on top of the pork and dumplings was the star of the dish but we’re mushroom-loving people. The dessert case couldn’t be passed up and it was hard to choose which we wanted to try. We ended up picking this three-layer chocolate mousse cake. It was light, not overly sweet and the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.“

The staff were super friendly and quick to take our order. Two women were both bartending and serving the tables, but we never had dirty dishes or empty glasses for long. The pepperoni rolls were our favorite. We also had a 16" pizza with extra cheese and half sausage & bacon. The pizza was ok! I'd say 7.5/10. The sauce had great flavor. My brother had the special chicken sandwich, parmesan style. He said the flavors were great, but he wasn't a huge fan of the bread. It wasn't toasted and after a few bites, it was totally soggy. “This bar is located in Sheraden and is a great local place! My lady friend wanted to hit the place as we're moving to Sheraden and she wanted the owner to know that she's returning to the area. The owner is a great guy! The bar has been there 80 years. Although the decor is dated, the place is clean and neat. The restrooms are clean too. We got lunch. I got the bacon burger with Swiss cheese instead of American. My lady got wing dings. We had two rounds of drinks (I was drinking IC Light and Red Stag doubles and she was drinking draft Coors Light. The food was excellent a were the drinks. All in, I spent about $30“

“The people here are so friendly and welcoming. This place had everything. It had all the gothic alternative punk rock vibes and I loved it. Larry was my bartender and he was pretty cool. I ended up playing pool with some people in the back and had a great time. This is definitely a go to staple when it comes to dive bars in Pittsburgh. Definitely my #1!“

“Wow! talk about a hidden gem. This is a super awesome dive bar with uncanny food. I kid you not, I'll put theses sandwiched with anything in the city. I had a $15 burger for under $10. The owner is the chef, and he's got it down perfect. He even came to our table to make sure he laced the sandwiches...which he did. Great drinks, great service, unbelievable food! unbelievable value. Even the Jalapenos were absolutely perfectly grilled! Wow!“

“Wow! This place is welcoming, cozy and the food is delicious. The wings are something special. You get full wings with sauce on the side for dipping or dousing. The picture doesn't do justice to how good they are. Can't wait to go back!Parking: Parking is tough, easier to park on the street“
