“We were passing through and ordered two apps at half price and a burger medium rare. Apps were great but when we took a bit of the burger, it was raw inside. The waitress was nice and had our burger remade. Good burger but we were charged for the raw burger as well as the one we ate. It could have been accidental but maybe not. Good place for food but recommend checking your receipt.“

“Doordash botched an order and the new owner took full responsibility and made it right for us without needing any contact from us or the app. Which lbr usually you only find out your order is wrong AFTER you've received it and have to deal with CS. Correcting the platforms mistake and taking the time to get our entire order to us alone deserves thousands of stars, but I'll have to settle with a measly five. We already have visited quite a few times, but are all the more happy to keep doing so knowing there's awesome folks like this working there.“

“I visited acacia for the first time and really loved their cocktails. I was afraid that without reservations, the wait would be too long. But even on a Saturday evening in Southside, we easily got a table at 8:30pm. I got The Architect which was spicy and refreshing. The service is amazing and they will make any drink off the menu as well. I asked for a Mai Tai and got the best one I've ever had. Definitely recommend this bar to go to with friends. The ambience is also easy-going and chill for catching up with friends or relaxing after a long day.“
“Kicking myself for not driving up the hill sooner to this incredible Pittsburgh gem! The food: outstanding and fresh. The drinks: Delicious. The glassware: so fun. The owner and staff: incredible people. We visited on the last night of the season before the owner makes the trek home for some well-deserved time off for the holidays. (They'll be back in Feb). We had lovely conversations with the staff and other bar patrons. It's a lovely cozy space and the perfect environment for talking to strangers. There are some beautiful photos on the wall used as conversation starters from the owners travels. I tried the pickle martini and some of the house-made wines, all were so tasty. The food blew me out of the water. The Iberian plate was a perfectly curated mix of the most delicious meats, cheeses, olives, kimchi, etc. We got lucky that day as the owner had prepared her famous lamb. She slices it thin and serves it with a generous portion of pita bread and house made dips including tatziki and red pepper hummus. I'm dreaming of eating and drinking here again and can't wait to become a regular.“

“NGL this grilled cheese - cheese burg combo was a dream. If you ever thought to yourself, "this burger could use a grilled cheese," "this grilled cheese could use a burger" or never thought any of those in your life but love GOUD cheesy food- this one is for you. The Texas toast (don't know if that's what it was but that's what it felt like) was buttered to the gawds above. Ruggers knows the CTS (cheese to sando) ratio and went above and beyond the call of duty. The burg patty was flavorful itself and held its own up next to the overflowing cheese mountain that surrounded it. The fries were a perfectly salted addition to the sando. It was as mouthwateringly delicious as it looks and #GOUDapproved from all angles over here. Mondays are also taco night so you gotta pick up a few tacos SIGNATURE! He made suggestions for me based on what I normally smoke and the cigar I chose was excellent. Most folks in there seemed to be regulars and we all had great conversation. In my experience, some cigar bars can be a bit pretentious or intimidating but this place is quite the opposite - it’s got a Cheers bar feel and everyone is down to earth. “We ate here on a Saturday evening, with a reservation for two at 7.30pm. When we arrived the restaurant was quite full and we had to wait a little while before being seated. At that point, the service was very strong. We tried several dishes, including the salad, miso soup, sashimi plate, nigiri plate, and some hand rolls (mushroom, eel, scallop). We tried the tiramisu, chocolate pudding, and crème caramel for dessert. All in all, the food was tasty, the ambiance was relaxing and pleasant, and service was good. We had a very nice evening.“

They have a small beer selection with some good choices. There are also rotating cocktail and mocktail menus. There's an outdoor patio in the back that's nice. “My partner and I made our way up to Huszar on the North Side last night for dinner and it was spectacular. We started out with an order of lángos, Hungarian fried bread topped with garlic butter and mozzarella cheese. The texture was spot-on but the taste was out of this world. We also ordered a side of their red cabbage salad that I couldn’t get enough of. The cabbage was tender but still had a nice crisp to it and it was very balanced with just the right amount of sugar and salt. I ordered the chicken paprikás with traditional dumplings. The first bite took me back to my grandmother’s dining room table. The chicken was extremely tender and flavorful and the sauce was mild and perfectly seasoned. The cloud-like dumplings were the perfect accompaniment. My partner ordered the bakonyi pork and it was equally as delicious. I don’t think I’ve ever seen pork pounded that thin and still be tender. The mushroom gravy on top of the pork and dumplings was the star of the dish but we’re mushroom-loving people. The dessert case couldn’t be passed up and it was hard to choose which we wanted to try. We ended up picking this three-layer chocolate mousse cake. It was light, not overly sweet and the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.“

“After being invited many times, I finally got out with some friends to try the Elks Pittsburgh famous Friday lenten fish fry. And overall, it definitely lived up to the hype.For $17, you get a huge fish sandwich and two generous sides. I went with Mac and Cheese and fries, and it was definitely a comfort food experience. The bar has very fair prices, and the staff run what is inherently a chaotic situation extremely well. Just get their early, or be ready to wait in line. Definitely worth a trip.“

“Came in for dinner on Sunday and the place was pretty busy. There was a Pens game on and several tvs were showing the game and the surround sound was playing the game, as well. The staff were super friendly and quick to take our order. Two women were both bartending and serving the tables, but we never had dirty dishes or empty glasses for long. The pepperoni rolls were our favorite. We also had a 16" pizza with extra cheese and half sausage & bacon. The pizza was ok! I'd say 7.5/10. The sauce had great flavor. My brother had the special chicken sandwich, parmesan style. He said the flavors were great, but he wasn't a huge fan of the bread. It wasn't toasted and after a few bites, it was totally soggy. There are two 1-person bathrooms and they were both clean, smelled like strawberries (lol), and were stocked with soap and paper towels.“

“This bar is located in Sheraden and is a great local place! My lady friend wanted to hit the place as we're moving to Sheraden and she wanted the owner to know that she's returning to the area. The owner is a great guy! The bar has been there 80 years. Although the decor is dated, the place is clean and neat. The restrooms are clean too. We got lunch. I got the bacon burger with Swiss cheese instead of American. My lady got wing dings. We had two rounds of drinks (I was drinking IC Light and Red Stag doubles and she was drinking draft Coors Light. “Awesome hidden gem in Bridgeville. Ordered the Filipino Lumpia egg rolls and the Laurel sauced chicken wings. Lumpia was excellent and fresh tasting. "Laurel" is buffalo with old bay seasoning. Perfectly cooked and juicy. Cool atmosphere with small bar pool table. Great time!“
