Specials daily.. like I needed my coffee yep ty!! was really great! If your driving by it's not far from the interstate at all! “I love rough cut the food is amazing I’ve never had any complaints until tonight. :( my burger was a little to done, we barely got any good fries it was all the scraps and the soft pretzel was hard:( maybe it was just a off night but I hope it’s amazing the next time I come like it normally “
“Hidden gem with great food and staff. Husband and son always stop here when they are in the area. Young lady behind the bar quickly sat us down, gave us the option of sitting in bar area or dining area, and service was great. Don't pass it by!“
“The service was fast and friendly. The food was all mostly good. Was not a fan of the lobster bisque as it has no taste of lobster just more of a fish taste. The pork chops and fries tasted great and so did the spicy sausage soup. The fish platter was also great including the asparagus.“

“Really cute little dinner with a simple breakfast & lunch menu. The food was good, and the bacon was the highlight of my meal. The real winner here was the service! Everyone was so friendly and kept coming around to check on us & offer coffee refills even as it started to get busy. Definitely recommend for a friendly diner experience.“
“Best wings in the area and it's not even close.I grabbed some wings as recommended by a friend and they were amazing. Peach bourbon is like candy, little sweet for me but I could see people loving those. Honey jalapeño (honey mustard with cut up jalapeño) was great. The garlic parm was smothered in butter, garlic and palm. 10/10 on those for sure. My friends had barbecue and mango habinero. Both were great. We will continue to order from there over other places. That seems to be the general consensus by our 2nd shift work force that orders out as we were going elsewhere before.“

“Four of us was there Friday afternoon, 3:00pm. Wasn't that crowded at the time. We needed two separate checks, waitress told us she wasn't allowed to do that. Had two shrimp dinners, which was very good, but we both had onion rings for a side, which wasn't done, the onions were shimmy.Parking: Very little parking spots available, parked in the back lot.“

Can't believe I've never been here before but what a cool, cozy retro mid century looking throwback of a restaurant in beautiful Avella. Service was the best. Prices great. “I am so happy that The Ole Hickory Inn is under new management and has a new cook / chef. Several weeks ago my son and I had the chicken piccata and the whole dinner was excellent. One day I stopped in and had the reuben sandwich and was very pleased. Last Friday we had their fish and shrimp dinner specials and we're very pleased again. I really hope that the word gets out that the kitchen is up and running again. The atmosphere was comfortable and the service was excellent.“
