Yesterday we were instructed to go to an ER for a cardio conversion, which was not available within a 1 hour drive of our home. We are patients of the cardiology department at Hamot so we opted to go to the Hamot ER, which is 2 1/2 hours, away from our home. If it wasn't for this hospital, I could have died if they didn't take me seriously. The doctor who saw me the other day was up front with me and told me that my blood level was very low to a point that in a week or two I would have had a blood transfusion if I didn't die from a heart attack first.This is my go Hospital from now on. For a schooling oppurtunity, I was required to recieve a specific pre exposure vaccine. After doing research, it had been very difficult for me to find a local medical center in the area to provide this. My doctor's office referred me to Hamot ER, and I had the pleasure of being transfered on the phone to Nurse Chris. She really went the extra mile to do extra research to help me.
