“Compared to most other Chinese food places after Covid whose prices are always raising without notice and food is minimizing, Happy Star has actually been a pleasant find. Reminds you of a Chinese store in the city, not real attractive on the outside. Kind of just grab and go kind of ambiance, Not the friendliest encounter with the cashier lady either but the food is good. The meat is real, chicken is real, not rubbery or questionable, I wasn't crazy about the Sesame chicken, it was very garlicky. But the General Zso Chicken and Beef and Mushroom were great. Good fried rice and egg rolls and the best part is the prices are great compared to most around the area. Good find overall“

“It was my birthday and I was craving sushi. I looked around at a few places and I decided to try this place. I looked at the menu before going and they had a lot of great choices. The staff was amazing. They were very nice and helpful. We had no wait for a table either. The food was very delicious, definitely worth coming here to try. I was very amazed that it came out on a boat like that too. I loved it. These were the rolls we ordered. Eagle Roll, Lobster Roll, Tiger Roll, Dancing Shrimp Roll, and King Dragon Roll.“

“For the second year in a row, we hosted our family reunion dinner for 30 people in the China Wok's lovely event room on a Saturday evening. Everything was perfect due to owner Lin's attention to detail. She met in advance with me to plan the menu, taking into consideration our budget, dietary preferences, and the mixed age group of 2 months to 97 years. The decor was pretty, the servers were pleasant and helpful, our guests loved the food! The platters came out looking as visually pleasing as they were tasty. Nothing was too much trouble for Lin! We are grateful to the China Wok for the special time we shared with our family there.“

“My husband and his family have gotten food from Sandy (owner) since he was a little boy and now he is in his 40s with a family of his own. Even though we don't live close by for delivery anymore, we still order from them and I will go and pick up the food. Their food is delicious, the price are reasonable and the service is great. Sandy and her team are awesome. When I go to pick up my food and get to watch her in action, it amazes me how she remembers her customers' names, thus the loyalty she gets from repeated customers. She is so nice too. Not only do we order food for our meals, I also like to order her food for parties that I host. Price are reasonable and my guests always compliments the food. Less cooking I need to worry about. Some of our favorites when we order are: general tso chicken, fried wonton (my husband only like hers), sum gum lomein, pork fried rice, chicken wings, boneless spare ribs (one of the best...i tried other places... not the same), spare ribs, stir fry pork bean sprout (i don't see this on other Chinese food menu), sweet and sour chicken. Shrimp egg foo young, and her soups. We tried other items on her menu, but these are our favorites.“

“I got the Jajangmyeon and I really enjoyed it. It's hard to find this dish in South Jersey. It's located in the food court of Hmart Philadelphia (Front Street location). Service is friendly and this Hmart is located in a large plaza with ample parking. I would like to get it again if I'm ever in the area. 4.5/5.“

“The best place for dim sum in Northeast Philly according to us locals. They open 9:30am for dim sum in the push carts however the kitchen doesn't open until 11am for specially requested dishes. Tax is always included. Unfortunately, the bathroom to my several experience always runs cold water for washing hands :( .“

The food and customer service are outstanding. If you want my recommendation, the boneless spare rib lunch special and the Kung Pao Chicken are very tasty. “I was out running errands which brought me to USPS this place is a few stores down. They don’t take debit only cash. The male owner didn’t speak much yet he was very polite, smiled, and very patient as we decided what to order. We ordered the Ribs, eggrolls shrimp & pork, pork fried rice, white rice, and orange chicken. When going to a new place I usually order extra or two meals. We had leftovers and the food was still really good the next day. Pork fried rice was flavorful and buttery. Ribs were perfect! Eggrolls were crispy and freshly made, you can tell they weren’t sitting out. Orange chicken was good and not over cooked or cut too small like some places. Def will go back to this spot! You can’t dine in do we got it to go!“

I am 29 now and I’ve RARELYYYY ever have a problem.They know my number and house when I call and they know my favorite order and they ALWAYS make sure my step dad gets NO PEAS in his meals.I’ve only ever witness them mess up the no pea thing once. “SIMPLY THE BEST CHINESSE RESTAURANT IN THE AREA. We go all the way from Hatboro to this place because is good. They put lots of different vegetables. It is the best in this area. It is not gourmet but the average Chinese restaurant is the best. The people is super nice. The guy cooking is real Chinese and you can tell that he cares. You go to other places, and they just put a bunch of broccoli with a little bit of sauce and they call it Vegie Mix, here, you get a variety of vegetables. The food WAS NOT salty at all, natural.“
