“My husband and I found this restaurant on a whim. SO GLAD WE DID! From the moment we walked in the atmosphere and service was awesome. But I’m really writing this review because our server was exceptional. Im a mother of 3. My oldest being 10 & youngest being 11 months old. I’ve never had a server care about my dining experience as much as she did. I’m so sorry I didn’t get her name. She had longish blonde hair maybe and was a little older(no disrespect). She was genuinely worried about my husbands latte going cold while he walked our son. She seen him fussing when our food came and she offered to bounce him around while we ate. Lastly I had left half of my coffee on the table because I was in a rush to get the baby out and to my absolute surprise she ran it out in a to go cup! She deserves recognition for the lengths she went to make our brunch enjoyable. We’re both from the restaurant industry and can attest, they don’t make em like her anymore!”
“Let me say this up front: We went for pizza at the Fort Cafe in Forty Fort and left disappointed. Not because the pizza was bad. Quite the contrary. The 8-cut, Old Forge-style pizza was very tasty, with a baked crust topped with a balanced amount of tangy sauce, chunks of tomato, and cheese. It certainly wasn’t because of the staff. Our server was extremely friendly and delightful, making us feel right at home within 10 seconds with her glowing, warm smile. The reason for our dismay stems from the fact that we didn’t ignore our hankering for pizza and missed out on what appeared to be some amazing dishes. We arrived fairly late on a Friday evening at around 7:40, and were perplexed that – although the restaurant closes at 9 p.m. – we may have missed being served a meal because we arrived after 7:15. Really? All we wanted was to sit, eat some pizza, and leave. However, we completely misjudged our expectations. We were fortunate enough to get a table anyway, and after looking at the menu, realized that Fort Cafe is no mere pizza parlor with an attached bar. Selections such as chicken or veal saltimbocca, scallops, shrimp vodka, baked gnocchi, and other dishes looked exquisitely enticing. Combine that with some wine, and one has an enjoyable experience.Chef Jeff Piazza, who was once the co-owner of fine dining restaurant Gelpiaz in Kingston (now Kevin’s) and the nearby Whitehouse Diner, is at the helm of this tiny, unassuming eatery. He brings with him years of experience, and I’m very much looking forward to returning. Our table afforded me the advantage of peeking into the kitchen, where I was able to see him toss food in a pan over large flames. After glancing at what was eventually being brought out to patrons, I was envious. The meals looked very appealing, and here I was slumming it with only pizza. From what I’ve been told, since the menu consistently changes, checking Facebook for daily posts is recommended. Although the dining room is simple and small, with the tables being very closely arranged, one does not feel cramped. The small venue makes for a comfortable, friendly neighborhood vibe.So check Facebook, make a reservation, and eat delicious pizza only if you must. But I feel I must warn you that you’ll likely miss out on a very splendid dining opportunity if you do.”
“Such and clean and efficient restaurant! Denise was so great. Her energy was amazing and she was such a sweet person. Definitely coming back to this location to have her as a server!”
“Abide Coffee Shop is awesome. The coffee choices are so good – they've got a bunch of different ones, and each is really tasty. It's a cool place; you should definitely give it a shot!”
“Definitely best money I have spent finally some good boba as well! I have the passion fruit tea with passion popping boba. The service was also good very friendly. The food was AMAZING nothing disappointed. I’m allergic to seafood and she took the time to answer my question. So just know there are options for people like me.i will be bringing my family back.”
“We stopped here on a whim to grab some BBQ...man were we blown away by everthing this place is. Amazing service, good food(get the brisket), and and overwhelimg support to America and those who fought/fight for our country. We for sure will be making this a routine stop whenever we come down.”

“My family and I have been visiting Amberdonia for years and keep coming back because of how much we love it. I’ve also brought friends through the years. The décor and ambiance take us out of Kingston and transport us to Italy with their cozy feel. The pizza is baked to perfection and the service is friendly. Try the bakery items too. They’re just as delicious as they look!”
“Wow! Absolutely delicious! ? Parking is on the street or a lot to the left of the entrance. Take a number as you enter and be patient. They work fast, but this can be a busy place. You'll know why after you taste their treats. Cakes, muffins, doughnuts, even pizza slice (cold), and fresh coffee. Stop in, you won't be disappointedParking: The lot is shared with the municipal building.”
“LARGOS is my go to for great food. The buns are super fresh and they give you alot of food. The place is super clean ,the owners and workers are exceptionally welcoming.”

“By far best pizza in the back mountain, and quite possibly the best Sicilian in NEPA. The General Tso’s pizza is excellent and don’t sleep on their wings either. All good stuff!”
“A most charming stroll down memory lane. Lots of neat look-sees here and old fashioned candies. They do lots of ice cream orders and the ambiance is worth a drive there. The owner is so friendly and even uses the old time rolling ladder to reach those high up treats. If my kids were little, I would definitely inquire about a birthday party there. I found BROADWAY LICORICE ROLLS and was transported back to 1976. Thanks to all the kind workers at Ballyhoo's.”
“Authentic Mexican food — SO fresh! The salsa is amazing and there is a big variety of tacos prepared with traditional Mexican ingredients. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I had several questions about some items on the menu I was unfamiliar with- I learned a lot! Portion sizes are very generous -including the $7 Happy Hour Margaritas, which are made with fresh squeezed lime juice. No mixers here! My husband’s comment when we first tasted our food: “they definitely don’t take short cuts here”. This is a great addition to downtown WB - can’t wait to go back!”
“I brought my family here for dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The food and service were outstanding. Great hospitality, desserts were superb and they have their coffee, tea and turkisg delights for sale for you to bring home as well. I highly recommend this place and we look forward to going back again soon!”
“Traveled through the area and got takeout based on the Google reviews, and we were not disappointed. Online ordering was so convenient, pickup was fast and easy, and the staff were very friendly. The chimichangas were absolutely delicious. We got them fried with chicken. We also got the 3 combo with enchiladas and tacos and preferred the chicken enchiladas. Our order came with a ton of chips and delicious salsa. I'm so glad we found this gem ? also so affordable! We will be back!”
“Best place to grab a coffee or a breakfast sandwich! Jess, Kierstin, and Jim are the friendliest and are the vision of what small business is. Check their place out and support the Main Bean ☕️?”
“This place is very good! I was told this place was Uruguayan and I was looking for some nice food in the area. I myself am from Uruguay and was curious to see if the meals would taste like authentic Uruguayan food. The quality of the food is pretty good, but I wouldn’t say all of the tapas resemble that Uruguayan flavor (such as the chorizo, which was pretty good, but definitely not Uruguayan flavor-wise). The milanesa, however, was extremely good, and close to what it would taste like in my country. But trust you can’t leave this place without getting dessert- I think the tiramisu could be my last meal on earth, no problem. I had the chance to speak to the chef as well, and she was very sweet! The place is small but cozy, has private parking, the service is great, and the prices are very reasonable. I’ll definitely be back!”
“This place is fantastic! Don’t let the small, corner location keep you away. I ordered this 5 hoagie platter for my birthday party and it was a huge hit with my family. This made it so much easier than ordering individual sandwiches for everyone. They slice the roll twice longways, leaving a barrier between the meat and veggies. It’s a brilliant idea that keeps the ingredients nicer longer. We will definitely be going back for more!”
“The food quality was very good.Unfortunately, the portion is smaller than what it seems on the advertisement videos, but the taste and flavor is superfection.Definitely should try it but always ask for more.Thank you very much carne y queso”
“We were staying at a hotel near Pittston on our way back to Canada Sunday night and decided to order from Mama's Thai Cuisine, having read all the great reviews posted. Well, it did not disappoint! We loved everything we ordered: the dumplings, shrimp rolls, pad Thai and green curry. The servings were so plentiful that I had leftovers for breakfast. Many thanks for this wonderful meal!”
“Our high school hockey team traveled to Wilkes-Barre, PA for games this weekend and someone told us about Kiko’s. We ordered breakfast sandwiches for the team that were absolutely fabulous. The boys loved them and asked for more! So, we ordered sandwiches for the ride home, and once again they were a huge hit! Kiko also made two trays of empanadas for us to try and the kids devoured them. Kiko is wonderful - very generous, flexible and a pleasure to work with. The experience was stellar! Thank you, Kiko!!”
“Over two years of coming here, and I have never been disappointed. The guys running the truck are always so kind! The proportions are huge for $10! It always tastes great. I have to stop myself from driving here constantly. You must try this food! I always get lamb over rice!”
“Really loved our visit. The GF menu was amazing, and the food was excellent. The service was really friendly and welcoming. Worth the drive for sure.Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options like the black bean burger.Dietary restrictions: The best GF menu, including breaded chicken!”
“A unique experience for our region. I have never eaten at a Turkish themed restaurant before. Reservations made same day, although reservations were not necessary, plenty of room to be seated. Service was prompt. We had the hot sampler for appetizer. My wife had the Doner kebob and I had the Lamb shsh kabob. I enjoyed the tenderness and flavor of the Lamb. Baklava and Rice pudding rounded out a very pleasant experience. We enjoyed the Turkish Coffee to end the meal.”
“1st time diner. My son took me there. I had a western with hone fries and rye. Everything's great. Food, service, friendly staff. Have bakery items for sale also. Large portions if your a big eater. I will be back. Highly recommend!”
“Fast. Tasty. Very affordable. Highly recommend.Parking: Watch out for the puddles. Be careful when exiting the parking lot, so many drivers don't pay attention close to the railroad crossing.”
“BMB is one of my favorite places, with the best brew masters around! Order a flight to try new beers, and the Mug Club is worth every penny. Oh, and don't leave without having the Triple Pickle!!! I also like that BMB supports other local businesses by having food trucks in their lot. The Smashburgers rock!”
“Being from the area there is a special place in my heart for Abe’s. A must-stop when I am in the area. The service is always quick and the staff is always friendly. There aren’t many places you can still have lunch for six dollars. The best!!!!”
“Wow!! This place is a hidden culinary gem!! The drunken chix parmesan is a superb treat...so is the Antipasto hoagie!! Don't hesitate as the rest of the menu is great!! Tasty Italian and great desserts too!”
