Bald Hill Cafe Cafe • $
700 York Rd, Etters

“We had an absolutely wonderful meal at Hillside Cafe this evening. We decided to eat at the bar and Richard took very good care of us. I had a berry punch that was so delicious I had to have another. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday so we splurged. I got the House Special of a filet mignon (cooked perfectly) and a crabcake. Their crab cakes can not be beat! My husband got the T-bone and added a lobster tail he said they were both cooked perfectly. We could not leave without their peanut butter pie, so we got it to go. Hillside is our go to for fantastic food.“

“We treated a group of 12 highschool students to drinks at Boba Sensei. They were impressed by the Anime Themed atmosphere of the restaurant, and immediately recognized characters in paintings on the wall. Their staff helped us quickly although we didn't order ahead. They were patient and kind explaining the drinks to our students before taking our large order. They kept the order organized so we could make sure each student got the correct drink. We will order ahead next time, for such a large group. As a first experience at Boba Sensei for our teen girls, this could not have gone better. They were each given a carrier for their drinks, which was very generous. They all enjoyed their tasty selections and want to return at the next opportunity. I know this will be the treat they request often from us.“

“We have lived in the area for a couple of years now, and I've been wanting to try Hershey Pantry for a while. We finally went for breakfast, and weren't very impressed. While we loved the feel of the outdoor heated patio, the seats were difficult for our 2 year old to sit in with the booster seat and the food was bland. Our daughter ordered the chocolate chip pancake, my husband got the steak and eggs, and I got the breakfast skillet. I don't often salt and pepper my food, but I did this time. My husband and I felt that both our dishes were very basic in taste, like they didn't season it at all. We probably won't make this our regular breakfast place.“

The menu is pretty typical, but they make sandwiches and subs to order. We ordered a turkey & provolone sub to share and two sodas - one fountain Coke and one bottled. Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was clean with tables and booths. This was a convenient choice after touring the museum upstairs.“

“Went here before an event after trying a couple of other places with long waits. So glad we found this place! No wait, friendly staff, and in spite of being almost full, the food came up fast, hot, and extremely delicious. Orders were placed at the counter, but they brought the food to the table- on real plates with real silverware- as soon as it was ready. The brick oven pizza was great, the cheesesteaks were good size and extremely delicious (would order again!) and the fries and onion rings were cooked perfectly. Prices were very reasonable and a great value for the money. Wish I had time for dessert as the menu was extensive. In spite of being slammed, and only having a staff of three, they did an incredible job and were still courteous and friendly. Highly recommend this place whether for a quick bite or a leisurely dinner.Parking: Small parking lot directly in front.“

“Before attending a Hershey’s Theatre concert Saturday night, we googled bakery and this business had most great reviews. The inside decor was so inviting and seasonally uplifting. Then looking into the two glassed dessert cases that we’re filled with cookies, scones, pies, cakes, etc, andI started picking what I can’t bake: the pumpkin tiramisu, the cheesy, savory scone, the mini pumpkin cheesecakes, the pumpkin muffin, the pecan brownie, ALL complimented by a cinnamon bun cappuccino!! OMG!The staff were hustling restocking, cleaning up because a few minutes after I paid for my desserts, seven customers walked in to purchase sweets!Mayrana, our rock star clerk, patiently guided me through the lush myriad of sugary treats. $60 later, we took a stool and chilled with a few of our selections and that perfecto coffee. In ending, just a mile south on Chocolate Avenue from city centre.“

“Well worth driving out of our way for this gem of a cafe! We had the special green matcha rose latte with oat milk, a cherry danish, the blueberry stuffed pancakes, and 'the all in' sandwich served on rye bread. The sandwich was divine, though would have been wonderful with some extra sauce. The danish was just as we expected it to taste. I requested it be toasted rather than warmed elsewhere. That made a worldly difference in texture appeal, to compliment the taste. The blueberry pancakes were good. Nothing over the top for that. The plate could have used some dressing up for serving the rolled up pancakes. Maybe a poof of whip cream on each side if the customer only orders the pancakes and no side. The latte was delicious, but too sweet. The sweetness did take away from the name of the drink. For it to be green matcha primarily, I would have adored more of that with hints of the other flavors for that specific signature drink. The staff was polite, well mannered, and had good energy. ?? ?The atmosphere was quaint, with some nice plants as decor, along with a micro gift/merchandise section. The seating area was a little too crammed for our liking, but for many cafés we have found this to be somewhat common depending on what appeal the business is going for. It's simply nice to be able to hear yourself think and connect with the people you arrive to eat with. It was crowed for brunch on a Monday, which we were happy to see for The Hive, nonetheless! It's clear the locals come often, which makes this a special spot. There is a nice couch/coffee table set up, which is where we chose to eat for the extra space. In addition, there is outdoor seating available for nicer weather days under an attached pavilion style picnic area.All-in-all, it was worth our spontaneous stop, and we will absolutely be back! Many thanks to the staff and owners who are doing a wonderful job! We wish you well for years to come. ??✨️?“
