The hotel manager at Hampton Inn recommended "What IF" for dinner. He was spot on. Excellent service and our table just off the end of the bar provided a quiet place to enjoy an excellent meal.

What If...of Hershey is a hidden gem and the best kept secret, tucked in the basement of the Howard Johnson on East Chocolate Avenue. Do not make the mistake of not going. The food is outstanding, amazing, exceptional, and first class. Specific standout dishes include the perfectly cooked lamb chops, the incredibly rich lobster ravioli, and the amazing fish and chips, which is a great special and an old family recipe. The Chesapeake Filet is the best steak ever, the southwest jumbo shrimp cocktail is a favorite appetizer, and the duck wontons with fig reduction are among the top ten best things ever eaten. The crab cake sandwich is impeccable and the chicken parm is unbelievable. Desserts are huge, fresh, and delicious. It is a great place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or have a romantic date, with a perfect environment for a date and an energetic atmosphere. The service is truly great, first class, outstanding, and exceptional from start to finish, with great attention from management and staff. It is a must-stop and highly recommended.
