You can see from the pictures the brisket is not their best thing. It is over heated and “pot roasted” couldn’t finish it even.why such a high rating?Literally everything else and the staff and atmosphere is amazing.Tips? Get corn bread and pulled pork.
Never had a bad meal or experience with dine in or take out at Hoods! Their food is always delicious and the service has always been great. Love the small town, cozy but updated atmosphere inside. A must try!

Last night was our first visit back to Hood's since they remodeled, and we couldn't have enjoyed it more! Drew was an excellent server, and the food was even better than we remembered.

Every dish we have tried here is amazing!! Favorites for us is definitely the chicken, brisket, pulled pork, mac and cheese, and hush puppies! Friendly service and prompt service!!
Most of the food is good. Service is always great. Think the brisket is always dry. My family thinks so too, but overall, good food. Try the brisket nachos, but only if you eat there. Don't get them, To go. It isn't the same at all. I was disappointed twice when I picked them up. I would recommend this restaurant.Parking: It has parking spots at the restaurant and an overflow gravel lot across a two lane road. It is easy to park, but don't park there if you have a wheelchair/scooter. There is handicap parking.Kid-friendliness: Atmosphere is fine for kids... Even misbehaved ones.Wheelchair accessibility: Honestly, I can't remember how easy or difficult for a wheelchair. My 98 year grandma was able to navigate fine with her walker.
