“Course is in decent shape for so early in the year. Sand traps were a little flooded from all the recent rain and it was cart path only (definitely needed on some holes but 90° would have been fine on most others). Lot of plugs all over too. Lot of obstacles making it a decently challenging course. Staff was friendly and there were two cute dogs in the clubhouse, which is always a plus. They desperately need ball washers on more holes. There was a half-broken one on 13 and that was it. Overall, great time and I'll be back this season.”

“Who would've thought a hotel could have its own bowling alley and arcade? Split Rock is not your average joint! We spent hours knocking down pins and playing classic arcade games. It's like stepping back in time, and it's a blast. The rooms are always fresh and tidy. It's like coming back to a sanctuary after a day of fun. You can relax and unwind without a worry in the world. I've gotta give a big shoutout to the staff here. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. It's like being with family. Their genuine hospitality made our stay unforgettable. The rooms are comfy, and the staff is as friendly as can be. It's a guaranteed good time, and I can't wait to return!”

“Regarding my dining experience, I encountered several dissatisfactions. The French onion soup lacked onions, and the nachos primarily consisted of chips. The cauliflower bits seem like they are cooked in funnel cake batter, not the best. However, the burger was exceptionally delicious. I commend the waitress for her pleasant demeanor, and I appreciate the establishment's commitment to employing an all-female staff.”

“My family decided to visit Caribbean Deck Cafe while we were vacationing in the Poconos. From the moment we walked in, Shaine treated us like family! He allowed us to taste test a few dishes and we enjoyed talking to him about all kinds of things. As for the food itself, it felt like we were at Shaine's backyard barbeque! He kept piling it on and the portions were huge! We tried the curry goat (my favorite, though everything could arguably be considered a favorite!), the oxtail, stew chicken, and jerk chicken - each dish was full of flavor, hot/fresh, and oh so satisfying! The curry goat was seasoned to perfection, the oxtail was meaty and tasty, the stew chicken meat was fall-off-the-bone (see photo), and the spicy homemade jerk sauce was out of this world! Anytime we go to the Poconos, we plan on being back here for sure. The sides consisted of plantains and cabbage, and both paired very well with each meal. Rice options are rice and peas or white rice (rice was delicious). We dined in and appreciated the large plates and overall attentive experience. After our meal, Shaine hooked us up with sweet potato pudding and Hennessy cake on the house! And I must say: Both hit the spot! The sweet potato pudding was like a slice of sweet potato pie with pudding consistency - it was hot and sweet, and it was exactly what I needed after the amazing meal. Hennessy cake gave me rum cake vibes (note: I don't drink alcohol and am far from a connoisseur) and it was also great! We want to thank Shaine for really going above and beyond to take care of our family. The Poconos community is blessed to have him and Caribbean Deck Cafe! Every 5-Star Review is well-earned/well-deserved, and you will NOT regret visiting. Very highly recommended!!!”

“Ambiance (4/5): There’s a huge parking lot and noticed that the venue is expanding. There’s a large bar in the center with several tables toward the back. Our timing was perfect and we were sat immediately on a weekend for our party of 6. The table was cool—made out of a whiskey barrel and a piece of glass on top. The inside is tight but cozy.Service (4/5): The place was bustling so our corner table was often neglected. They were doing their best! The staff was friendly and patient the whole time.Food:Starters: A bowl of bread and butter. Entrees also come with a salad and dressing of your choice. The salad is packed with mixed greens, peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers!Buffalo Shrimp (5/5): I don’t even eat shrimp and it’s delicious! Whatever breading they use is packed with flavor and has a nice crunch to each biteBuffalo Wings (4/5): Ask for the wings with mild sauce and drizzled with parmesan sauce. There’s a light breading around the wing that gives it a nice crunch.Stuffed Chicken with Crab à la Vodka (4/5): The chicken was moist and filled completely of crab meat! The sauce was penne à la vodka was good but lacked some saltiness and flavoring. I had to dump a decent amount of salt and red peppers to it.”

“I was looking for a kid friendly restaurant that had options for everyone. I wanted to avoid the resort (Kalahari) restaurant high prices and rush in and out of crowds going and coming. Well this place didn’t disappoint we came 1hr before closing and thought we would be rushed but that’s far from the case. Our server Sara was great and had an easy going vibe to her. I asked for suggestion on popular item to eat and I was recommended the supper sandwich and this didn’t disappoint. All the food was great and service as well. When I come back to PA I will definitely stop in again. Also, give the French onion soup a try. It was good and I’m not a soup person and really liked it.”

“This place is by far the absolute best restaurant in the Poconos. I’m not into large portions because they usually lack in quality. This place has both. Very generous portions & top quality very fresh. We dine in Philly a lot. We now prefer to drive up to the Poconos because this place is that good. This place is much better than many big name restaurants in Philly.”

“I live in New York but have parents that live in the Poconos and visit them regularly. For the longest I always went to other pizza places nearby. But as of recent a lot of them are under new ownership and the pizza has really taken a turn for the worst. This place calls themselves the best pizza in town so I decided to give it a shot based on the reviews and the self proclamation. I was pleasantly surprised because the pizza is definitely the best in Blakeslee/Poconos. I ordered a large pie with pepperoni and mushrooms and it tasted very good. Its not NY pizza. But I would have to agree it's the best around. Not only that but the entire staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I placed my order over the phone and even the gentleman who took my order was very courteous and they even sent me an update to my phone letting me know when my pizza and other food was ready.However I took a star off because this place is incredibly pricey for the area. It's actually more expensive than the pizza place by me in NY. I paid $11 for a chicken salad which although tasted good looked like it was made from bagged salad and the cucumbers inside were soggy and not fresh. As this is a pizza place I can't really complain too much about this as most people don't go to a pizzeria specifically looking for a salad.This will be my new pizza place moving forward for my visits and I will be coming back here again for the pizza.”

“When my Jeep grenaded it’s serpentine belt I pulled into the owners lot where I was greeted by Don and Vicky, they looked at my car, insisted I come in to stay warm and even gave me a few pints to take the sting of breaking down away! “We have been patrons for over a decade. Their food is good, hot, and consistent. The sauce is a bit on the sweet side, but we like it that way. Order a Sicilian with peperoni, fried onions, meatballs and sausage....the 903 way. You won't be disappointed if you like a little sweeter sauce. Thanks for all the years of great food!”
