6 Best Craft Breweries in Lancaster

Meduseld Meadery Brewery • $$
252 Harrisburg Ave, Lancaster

“A truly fun night out! This is a small bar with around a dozen flavors of mead, along with some locally brewed beer options. You can get a flight of mead to try a few different ones, and then get a lane to throw axes. The instructor went over the basics in maybe 2 minutes and gave us tips when we weren't sticking the axes immediately, so very quickly we were nailing the target and having a great time. It's a very different kind of time to have, and it's a lot of fun- totally worth your time.I will mention as a small caveat - this is a bar, but their food and drink menu is very limited. For food they had a handful of snacks and for drinks it really was just the mead and beers. My advice would be to eat before going. Also, if you have that one friend that doesn't like trying new things - leave them home.“

Cartel Brewing & Blending Brewery • $$
920 Landis Ave, Lancaster

“Our 1st visit to Cartel Brewing over the weekend was great!! Large selection of very tasty brews and we loved that there was a selection of porters/stouts/lagers available compared to other breweries that hang there hats on an excess flow of IPA spin-offs (I loved their "Maiden" Robust Porter). We ordered fries & a soft-pretzel appetizers which were very fresh, hot, and super tasty.Do yourself a favor and make sure you visit this brewery, and if you're like me maybe you'll notice how super cool their brass tap handles are!!We will visit them again.“

“Excellent Food with vegetarian and vegan choices. Nicely designed drink menu from an array of draft beer (not all IPAs) to specialty mixed and non-alcoholic drinks. The decor fits the 'Coffin Bar' theme; dark, gothic, and edgy.Vegetarian options: There is a heavy use of mushroom and mushroom broth to impart texture and flavor. Flavors are deep and rich and well worth spending the time to savor.“

“Stopped by this afternoon for their Chorizo burger. It did not disappoint! The burger was firm and juicy but not greasy. It came with egg, mushrooms, caramelized onions, swiss cheese, and queso Cheese. If you're looking for a burger that you just can't get anywhere else, stop in and ask for X's special blend chorizo burger. It's a must try!“

Brewers Outlet East Brewery • $$
1948 Lincoln Hwy E, Lancaster

“PROS: nice staff members and loads of beer and spiked drinks. Prices were good, loads of parking, long hours, place was clean and organized while they were well stocked CONS: they did not have any hard liquor which was odd considering all places I've been to have both beer products and hard liquor OVERALL: as long as you're not looking for hard liquor I highly recommend coming here“
