This was my first time at El Serrano, and from the outside, it looks intriguing. The atmosphere inside is nicely decorated even with a large faux stone statue (the kind you'd see in an Indiana Jones movie). The chairs are very heavy, almost clunky and not very comfortable. The dining space seems crowded, too. We did not have a reservation, but fortunately, we got seated right away. Our waiter was kind and attentive, not overbearing, which I appreciate. Our drinks came out shortly after ordering. My beer was tasty and reasonably priced. Also provided was a basket of tortilla chips and salsa, which was quite good.I ordered a Mexican dish with chicken beans and rice. When it arrived at the table, you could see cooled top "skin" on the beans, which means it sat for a while before I got it. The flavor was ok... nothing special. The price was excessive for the ingredients used.My wife ordered a salmon dish and was prepared properly to her liking.I would probably return, but I wish the prices were a bit more in line with the ingredients and the portion size.

El Serrano is also a solid place to grab some Peruvian cuisine. Historically they did not take reservations, but you can make reservations through open table now. The service was excellent, atmosphere is always good. Food has gone down hill a little bit over the years, but still worth a visit. Their desserts are always very good.Vegetarian options: Very vegetarian friendly, with a section of the menus dedicated to our meatless friendsParking: Parking lot can get filled up pretty quick, but normally you can find a spot. Worst case you can park at the very back of the Lowe’s parking lotWheelchair accessibility: Easy access to the majority of the restaurant

Great tasting .food. Makes you wonder how they get so much flavor in the food. Anything with onions, peppers, and tomatoes in the dish is outstanding. Have a great dining experience and you will return again.

Not the El Serrano it used to be. Seems things have been going downhill for the last few years. They’ve cheaped out on some of their service protocol and their drinks are lame. Food was generally good and the service provider did an excellent job. Won’t be in a hurry to go back for a while.

We had reservations for 6:15 for 8 people and we were seated promptly. Always nice! We were in a side room with a lovely view of the courtyard. Olivia was our waitress and she was wonderful: pleasant, efficient and very accommodating! Our food was delicious from apps, entrees to coffee and dessert! Yummy! We celebrated our granddaughter's 16th birthday and Olivia brought her a sparkler candle and sang with us! Very special indeed!

Drinks were ⭐️ out of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. We use to come to El Serranos more frequently. It seems the past four years they have gone down hill. Their salsa served with the chips is served in plastic Solo containers and the chips tasted stale. The empanadas were overdone. The guacamole was fresh with chunks of avocado in it which was good. Our server did a great job if only the bar and kitchen could have supported him. I’ve gone back several times over the past couple years and wanted to like this place like we once did but have been underwhelmed each time.
