“This was my first time at El Serrano, and from the outside, it looks intriguing. The atmosphere inside is nicely decorated even with a large faux stone statue (the kind you'd see in an Indiana Jones movie). The chairs are very heavy, almost clunky and not very comfortable. The dining space seems crowded, too. We did not have a reservation, but fortunately, we got seated right away. Our waiter was kind and attentive, not overbearing, which I appreciate. Our drinks came out shortly after ordering. My beer was tasty and reasonably priced. Also provided was a basket of tortilla chips and salsa, which was quite good.I ordered a Mexican dish with chicken beans and rice. When it arrived at the table, you could see cooled top "skin" on the beans, which means it sat for a while before I got it. The flavor was ok... nothing special. The price was excessive for the ingredients used.My wife ordered a salmon dish and was prepared properly to her liking.I would probably return, but I wish the prices were a bit more in line with the ingredients and the portion size.“
“This restaurant is the most unique meal experience I have had in a long time. The positive/ good feeling energy vibrates from the time I entered until my exit. The food is exceptional and the decor that displays local artists work is very appealing. I felt like I was at an excellent cooks home and, they invited me to a warm casual dinner. This is a must check out place. I literally loved everything about it. The owners are the best, very warm and welcoming.“
“Tonight I tried Espino's for the first time in over 4 years. I used to live down the street and would go all the time. I was in the neighborhood tonight and thought to stop by. Glad I did - their supreme pizza was fantastic and just as I had remembered - the owner is also a friendly guy and fun to chat with.“
“Was delighted to find such big taste come from such a small restaurant. The best Dominican food in Lancaster . Take it from someone who rather cook there own food verses gambling with his hard earned money rather wasting it on takeout. If the ribs taste as amazing as the chicken I’m definitely going to be a weekly regular customer. 10 stars for sure.“
“The mofongo & pork here is delicious ?. They put lil pieces of pig fat in the mofongo. The mofongo was moist. I like that they put a piece of crispy fat in your platter in case you want to add it to the mofongo. Its a pretty good size mofongo too. Sorry no pics, I ate it all ?. Everybody's nice. The inside is clean but small. Im definitely getting more mofongo here.Kid-friendliness: They have wing dings for kids?“
“Visited last year. Food was amazing, but service staff were impatient: rolling their eyes and sighing loudly. It was our first visit, so we were unfamiliar with the menu, the way in which to order, and what was where; it made us feel unwelcome.“
“The Birria tacos were so good and that green sauce they make is banging. The meat could have had more flavor but it evened out with the lime and sauces. I also wish they would give more consome it makes the birria tacos. I will definitely be eating here again.“
“Unique treat with 12 chefs working in incubator food stations, anchored by a central bar in an architecturally unique space. Their focus on emerging and established chefs, each serving up their own specialty fare, whether local, regional, or international surrounding the bar. Just South of the crowded Central Market, this hub of international cuisine start-ups has been featured in the urban legend blog which brought us in for lunch from Peru...deliciously paired with local craft lagers from the bar. Another must stop while staying in Lancaster. Would imagine it's jammed in the spring and fall.“
