“I heard a lot about Jules@market. When the house jazz band was scheduled we took the opportunity to check it out. The ambiance was great. A subtitled film noir projected against one wall while the jazz trio played against the opposite wall. We loved that. There’s an open kitchen design which really works in an otherwise tight space. One small minus is that it could be vented better. I came home smelling like food. Having said that, the food was exceptionally good. I read some reviews that spoke about small portions. My response is- if you want tonnage, eat fast food or at a chain restaurant. Jules@market is not that. Everything was fresh and on point. One drawback- most restaurants that offer sparkling bottled water also offer flat. I was surprised that Aqua Panna wasn’t available but Pelligrino was available. We don’t drink tap water so I was forced to drink carbonated water which isn’t the greatest for my stomach. Had I known I would have brought my own. Now the service- the staff was super friendly. I left over 20% because of this. But, to put it bluntly they need training. The food is great, the prices are high, the ambiance is amazing. The service should match but it doesn’t. I’m being specific in this review because I love that Bristol is changing and growing and want this restaurant to really really succeed. So here are my comments:1) when people put utensils together to the side it indicates they are finished and the plate can be removed. When it is open and food remains don’t ask to take the plate. 2) Remove all dirty dishes promptly- out bread dishes and used butter stayed on the table the entire meal 3) clear the table before bringing dessert. Looking at dirty dishes while eating the most perfect key lime pie detracts from the experience. 4) timing could be better. We waited 25 minutes for our appetizers and then waited again for a side after being served our main courses at separate times. Have someone follow the server and put the entire course down together. 5) Not once were our water glasses refilled by staff. We poured the Pelligrino ourselves 6) Never bring the plastic bus bins onto the floor to clear a table. That’s for diners, not nice restaurants. Use a tray to remove dishes if need be.I eat at high end restaurants and the service makes the night. That’s why we tip and don’t get take out, we like to relax and have a pleasant experience. I’d love to come back and have the amazing food ( worth every Penny) and have the service be more on point.The food is perfect, fresh, tasty, excellent presentation. The staff couldn’t be friendlier- really lovely people. The ambiance is great, quaint and inviting. I gave a five star because I think the service just needs a little tweak.UPDATE: After posting my review I was contacted by a man saying he was the general manager. I’m not sure how he got my phone number but I wish he would not have called. He was positively berating me about how my review was damaging, he had 15 people to keep on payroll, his family was from Bristol, and I just wrote the review to benefit myself. I could barely respond. He was erratic and attacking. It was off putting considering my teenage son was in the car as he wouldn’t let up and was on speaker. At first I tried speaking with him. I felt my review was good, fair, and spoke very highly about everything except the service- which others have critiqued similarly here on google review. After five minutes of him venting I was still trying to make things right and asked if I could make a suggestion. His response was very rude. He said,” if you make it quick.” At that point I realized that whatever is going on in his life- he decided to take it out on me. I was done. I said,” Never mind. Have a good day.”I later heard that the jazz house band who I was seen talking to was fired and told that I complained about the music. That’s absurd and a lie. They were fired as some sort of weird retribution or maybe they can’t afford to pay them anymore and used me as a scapegoat. Either way this restaurant is not managed properly.“
“What an incredible event for our niece Angelina on her 18th Birthday! The family Nick, Patty and Alex Mastoris, down to the amazing staff that helped work Angelina's 18th birthday dinner was on point. The food, the amazing service and overall experience of how organized the dinner went. The family made our nieces birthday extra special that she won't ever forget. All family and friends enjoyed their cocktails, mocktails, dessert stations and prefix meal that was ABSOLUTELY delicious. Thank you so much Mastoris family! “I’m chef in the kitchen and I been cook 15 years . Let me be honest I’m super picky about food and I don’t like everyone’s food.Once food doesn’t hit my taste that’s it but Fusion Fresh!!!? Taste amazing . So delicious food, I wish I live close I would eat everyday and one meal can last long to me at least 4-5 hours( usually get hungry every 2 hours )“
“A cool local pub that serves amongst other things, pork roll sanwiches. I had never had a pork roll and so on a whim was suggested to try The Pines Tavern and it was pretty good. The service was exceptional, super friendly staff behind the bar, which I always appreciate.“
“Hadn't been there for years. We had a satisfactory experience but not as good as we had hoped. The menu choices were rather limited. My husband's entre was very nice but my salmon dish was lack luster and bland. Herbs and spices were missing. The service was very good and hopefully with the introduction of some more interesting entrees, we would be more enthusiastic about Acacia. We definitely will try them again.“
“We were out of towners stuck during Thanksgiving and stopped in here for lunch and a drink. We sat out back on the patio enjoying the view of the river til we got too cold. First of all - this might have been the best chicken pot pie I’ve had, and I’ve had a few. Secondly, everyone who worked there was beyond hospitable and so great. I don’t know if I’ll ever be back in New Jersey but if I am I’m B-lining it here to eat another pot pie ?“
“We held a birthday celebration for my Wife at the Vault in their private event room. We hosted over 50 guests and the room was perfect for a party of that size. Plenty of seating throughout, and the room was nice and comfortable. Everyone enjoyed themselves and raved about the food! Last, but not least, Sarah and the entire staff at the Vault that took care of us for the 3 hour event were awesome! Helpful and attentive and making sure the experience for everyone was great. Sarah was communicative and helpful in putting together the event as well. I would recommend using the Vault for a private event. We are very happy with how everything turned out!“
“This was our first visit to harvest. Parking was a bit jammed, but we were there during peak dinner time. Seating was immediate. The menu was filled with gluten-free choices for my wife. So much so that she had trouble narrowing down her selection. We had the burger, Mac & cheese. And the cedar plank salmon. All three were fantastic. Burger and the fish were perfectly cooked, and the drizzle on the salmon plate was fantastic. We did two shooters for desert covering a peanut butter candy cane and a cream cheese carrot cake. Both of which were amazing. However, the peanut butter one was heavy and hard to finish after all the other food. 100% would return again.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free friendly.“
“So this is a hard review for me, I live very close (currently). Their wings are phenomenal for the price and the kitchen is open till 10pm. I came in at 9:30 after a late night and the wings were just as good. Wings 5 stars, the rest is 3.5 stars. Atmosphere is not for everyone but a good time and the regulars are very nice. Free shuffle board and a few bucks for pool. It is definitely worth trying on a Wednesday or a late Friday or Saturday night as they are open late and know how to party. I’ve come on quiet Sundays and middle of the week, all was well there too. It’s a solid 4 stars overall and that is a brutal review for a place I truly love. **edit** alcohol is relatively cheap. “Elegant and relaxing atmosphere with a pleasant and accommodating staff. I met with Tara, who gave me a tour of the facility and reviewed membership options with me. Having been in the Restaurant and Hospitality industry almost 30 years, I was pleasantly surprised to see something that I don't get a chance to see too often- a working manager. Jay not only made sure that the patrons were taken care of, but was also not afraid to assist his staff in every aspect. Hats off to The Lobby Club.“
“Great bar. My favorite place to chill and work via my laptop while I wait for my kids to finish practice. Staff is friendly and attentive. You can tell it is managed really well. Food is great. I recommend the chicken pot pie (Tuesday night special) and the Caesar salad with steak.“
