Tenderloin and pasta dinners were on point. Seating is the only area we seem to be challenged with when we go. Booths are always taken and end up in a less desirable table.“

“I've always been a fan of Grist House brewing. They have some good barrel aged stouts when they put them out. Also the IPA's are pretty solid. They seem to have a ton of sours as well which people love. I like them, but they don't like me (sours that is). Great outdoor space. I however at times get annoyed with some of the enormous dogs people bring. I have no issue with dogs, let me say that, but people sometimes bring massive dogs and are clueless to the fact that they are blocking doorways and things. It's also a Penn State brewery which is cool. They have firefest every year and that is a great time. Food trucks daily. Parking sucks, all street parking.“

“This was the best meal that I have ever had in my life. After every bite I was speechless with how good it was. Very sad that I live 5 hours away or I would be here all the time. We arrived around 7pm on a spring Friday and we didn't have to wait at all. The only thing that I don't like is that you have to order at the counter. I think since it was my first time I felt a little rushed. But I had looked at the menu ahead of time so I kinda knew what I wanted. The person at the register also helped me make some decisions. We went with the pickle plate, some perogies, the schnitzel, and a dessert. The waiters did a great job of coursing the food. Some highlights were the fennel salad on the pickle plate, the potatoes and the beet salad that came with the schnitzel. And for dessert, we just had to notify a waiter that we were ready and it came out promptly. Everything was delicious. I was really impressed with every aspect. This felt cozy and relaxed. I can't wait to come back to pittsburgh and eat here again.“

“Me and my girlfriend went to Baby Tacos today for the first time we got there a few minutes before they opened. Who I’m assuming the owner was very friendly and still waited on us. The food was done in minutes and when I went to check out he told me to put my money away the first one is on the house. There aren’t to many businesses like this one in this day and age. “Peppi’s deserves five THOUSAND stars. I called them less than an hour before closing to ask whether they might be able to accommodate a 22-sub order for the film crew I’m a part of. I was fully expecting them to say no, they wouldn’t be able to do it, and was ready to call around elsewhere. But to my complete delight, they said yes, and they blew our minds by making all 22 subs in under 30 minutes. Plus, they were super friendly. We had one very happy film crew that day, and that meal powered us through the rest of the shoot. Big shoutout to the whole team at Peppi’s. You guys rule and we will be coming back often!!!“

“Actually perfect pho. I tried the bun bo hue which is a spicy beef pho with round noodles. It was... ACTUALLY PERFECT. Every element was spot on. Optimal spice and salt levels, impeccable broth flavor, good amounts of beef, and plenty of garnish. I went to Bae Bae's cafe earlier today and got a bahn mi and it was... hideous. Soft bread, almost no meat, and doused in way too much spicy mayo. I didn't get a bahn mi here at Maiku but I can already tell based on the quality of the pho that it would absolutely destroy Bae Bae's. Oh and the bahn mi at Maiku is $4 cheaper. The staff was personable and friendly. The environment is very casual which is how you know the food is legit. The food came out in less than 15 minutes. Overall this is easily the best food we've had in Pittsburgh so far.“
