Afternoon tea is very nice and the experience is what one would expect at a Victorian restaurant. It's worth coming once, but that about it.Some items like scones and some breads homemade, others clearly store bought.Staff very friendly and attentive.Atmosphere takes you back in time but place looks a bit worn bur acceptable.Food is inconsistent in quality but all ok .Nothing memorable.Food presentation very nice.Food paired with tea with each course which I likedAfternoon tea is $35 which for 3 courses seems resonable.

We visited on a Saturday evening. We did have reservations!! Alfred's Victorian Restaurant is an 1888 Victorian Brownstone. Its decorated with antiques, carved wood and gingerbread accents. The menu offered a number of Tuscan, Italian dishes. We had a loaf of warm Italian bread wedged with provolone cheese and herbed garlic butter that was to die for. Actually we had two of those. The Flaming Victorian Salad is a great salad where they flambé the croutons tableside. Our entree was the Tuscan chicken. It was very delicious. Highly recommend. on the National Register of Historic Places.

This place was AMAZING! I went for afternoon tea and they gave the perfect amount of food. It was a cute atmosphere and everyone there was excited to be doing tea time. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. The building was beautiful, I was thrilled to walk around and look at all of the different rooms. I look forward to coming back here

Extremely disappointed. We rarely seen our server, had to ask for drink refills. Both of our meals were extremely bland and very small portions. Start to finish was 2.5 hours. After spending over $200 for dinner, we came home and ate some leftovers. We were really sorry we chose this restaurant.

I got better service at the local dinner. Food was not too bad. Although the vegetables were inedible. Won't go back!!!

The building is very interesting and the meals were good but pricey. However, one of their kitchen staff had called off, and it took over 90 minutes for dinner. Also, our dessert (carrot cake) was dry and stale. Our waitress was so busy, she only checked our table once all evening which isn't very good considering how long it took for the food. Be warned that the building is not handicapped access.
