We visited on a Saturday evening. We did have reservations!! Alfred's Victorian Restaurant is an 1888 Victorian Brownstone. Its decorated with antiques, carved wood and gingerbread accents. The menu offered a number of Tuscan, Italian dishes. We had a loaf of warm Italian bread wedged with provolone cheese and herbed garlic butter that was to die for. Actually we had two of those. Afternoon tea is very nice and the experience is what one would expect at a Victorian restaurant.It's worth coming once, but that about it.Some items like scones and some breads homemade, others clearly store bought.Staff very friendly and attentive.Atmosphere takes you back in time but place looks a bit worn bur acceptable.Food is inconsistent in quality but all ok .Nothing memorable.Food presentation very nice.Food paired with tea with each course which I likedAfternoon tea...read full review
