Pretty unaccommodating place. They said they have gluten free pasta but it’s cooked in the regular pasta water, making it no longer gluten free. Then I tried to order a pasta dish with the gluten free pasta (risking it), and they said they won’t do substitutions. That makes no sense at all! I lived in Italian Switzerland and just got back from a trip to Italy and all of the restaurants are very accommodating for gluten free there. So you can’t play the “we are an Italian restaurant” because Italian restaurants in Italy have amazing gluten free pizza and pasta options. Needless to say I won’t be back, despite the cute environment.

This is the best house, authentic Italian restaurant in the Pittsburgh area! The menu is huge, so many pasta, dishes and the greatest salads. There is a beautiful restaurant in the front, and also a separate small building with an elegant bar in the patio during the summer season the open patio area is wonderful definitely five stars !

Saturday afternoon lunch with a friend. The place was NOT crowded but it took a little while for the three people at the hostess station to figure out where to put us. We were put at one of Tom's tables. The atmosphere is nice, but not "oooh, this is nice". He was a little slow in greeting us, but we were talking so that was ok. We ordered drinks...1 glass of wine and one vodka/soda. When he came back to get our order, I asked him what recommended, and his response was "the most expensive item." The he said, "that's my best joke", but he did NOT offer ANY suggestions off of the menu. I ordered the Linguini Florentina (Which was four pieces of shrimp with spinach in a garlic butter sauce over linguini). It was OK. My friend ordered the Scallop Tigliatelle (Three scallops, pancetta, peas with a white wine cream sauce over spaghetti), which was very tasty. Our order came to $90.95 and I left a 15% tip for a total of 103.70. I think the price was ridiculously expensive for two pasta dishes and two drinks. We did not get bread, nor were we offered any. The view is of a parking lot with cars in line for a chicken joint drive through, Tom was weird and pasta should be more reasonably priced. I'm glad I went because it looked appealing as a new place in the area, but I won't be going back. The product was decent, but not worth the price.

I enjoyed their pizza and the experience dining in before I learned that I could not have foods with gluten. I will definitely return if they ever add gluten-free pizza, but until then, I'll travel east to Mercurio's.

Went for dinner last night and enjoyed it very much. It was just me and I didn’t have a reservation, so I sat at the bar and ate. If you go, I recommend you make a reservation as it was very busy. I was blown away by how awesome the bartenders were. When I first got there, I was standing back waiting for a seat and the bartender actually came around to take my order. The entire time I was there they were so attentive and kind despite how insanely packed it was. I got a house Cab to drink which was good and ordered a tagliatelle with mushrooms and pancetta/bacon. Can’t remember the name of the dish but it was excellent. The bar itself is a separate building from the main dining area. You walk out the back and up a flight of stairs to a small bar room and dining room. The atmosphere is super cool, they’ve got a real wood burning fireplace and a nice seating area. They have TVs playing old Italian movies too. It’s definitely a really cute date spot. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will be back!

Absolutely lovely atmosphere! Beet salad was delicious, the roasted vegetables appetizer was very colorful and yummy, and our dinner was very good. I had the home made ravioli and my husband had the eggplant. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We came here because we had a gift card. So glad we did! Wish we lived closer to it!!! Would most definitely come here again!!

1st time here this evening. It was great! I read some articles afterwards about the owner and his care for his employees. Masks and 6 feet never worked. Now I will definitely go back!!

You should go hereWe had drinks and supper and really enjoyed it. We enjoyed a Barbara and Negroni to start and chose the octopus as our appetizer. The octopus was good, but a little tough. We chose a Margarita pizza as our main dish, and it was excellent. The wood fired oven makes all the difference. We were full at this point so I have to report about dessert next time.
