“If you're looking for a reasonable place to eat, this is it! We ate breakfast here this morning for less than $25, my meal alone came with two eggs, two pieces of sausage, two pieces of scrapple, two slices of toast and one giant pancake, and I also got a coffee. Our other meal came with two scrambled eggs, two sausages, two slices of toast, home fries, and he got a coffee and a water. Some of the best meals I've ever eaten have come from here. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all great. Would highly recommend to anybody passing through!“

“A fantastic hidden spot! I'm usually wary of places with really big menus and lots of options...how can they do everything well? But this place manages to do just that. Burgers with great combinations, the stromboli made just right, and the ice cream selection is second to none. The flair and decor just take it over the top. This has become a must-visit every time we travel back to the area.“

“I had the nicest lunch here. A cafe after my own heart from the Bohemian decore and gift section at the front of house to the amazing Grilled Cheese menu. I had the Jalapeño Popper grilled cheese, and it was fantastic. Someday, I am going back just for dessert. They have the most beautiful triple layer cakes!“

“Staying in the area and only finding pizza places and dinner food. Which is okay for one night out. But when on vacation you need better. Hidd'n Valley was better.Ordered salmon cakes and were good. Not dry. Good salad.Very good service. No frills atmosphere. Friendly staff.“

“You can't get a cut of steak so fresh and flavorful anywhere in State College proper like you get here. Bartender friendly and heavy hand with the poor. Try the Vodka Martini! Nice quiet place we sat at a high top in the bar area very nice. Beautiful brass tables bar and classic Tony roof above.“

“A nice small place. Prices are closer to mainstream than dive/small bar. The bar seats are close to the tables and so you feel a bit in the way at the bar as ppl walk past. I just stood to get around that.I am here March 16th so there was a ST Patrick’s menu. I am a corned beef prick, spoiled by a wife who “corns” her own. So I tried to account for that in my food rating (4/5). The beef was rubbery and lacked the taste of pickling spices I expect. Knowing I’m a prick I ordered potato cheese soup to try to give an honest rating. It was a good potato soup but no cheese was obvious (garnish out otherwise). That said I assume it was a special board typo and judged as a potato soup it was good! The staff was attentive, no empty glasses! That is critical. Everyone was keeping busy. There must be a happy manager here. No leaning just cleaning.Single bathroom, small but clean.I appreciate the obvious effort of the woman that I assume is the owner or manager. She seems to care and the clientele seem to appreciate her presence. Will be back. Just wish they opened earlier than 3 so that this could be the first part of my day drinking.“

“I think it is the best place to eat in this area. The food is always fresh, hot, and very good. The prices are very good. The inside was remodeled ,and it is very nice and comfortable. The staff is pleasant, and your food is served pretty fast. They are family friendly, until 9 pm. The reason being there is a bar, and it is for adults only, after 9 pm. I highly recommend you try eating there, and I'm sure you will go back. The place is really clean, and the atmosphere is very laid back.“

“Had lunch here on a Monday while in town for a campus visit. The restaurant has a rustic atmosphere that blends sports bar, dance club, and Cracker Barrel. The menu has a nice variety of sandwiches. My daughter enjoyed her fried haddock sandwich. My queen, which was called out on the menu as a house specialty, was good but not great. Service was initially good, and our meals came out quickly, but business picked up a bit as we finished, and the lone waiter took a long time to get our check.“

“The service we received while we were there was excellent. I ordered a Chicken Cheese Steak and a small FF, and my birthday guest had the Haddock Dinner, the food came out hot and was delicious!Parking: I thought we would have a hard time finding somewhere to park, however this place has plenty of parking options available.“
