“Stopped in for a late night snack and Brandon at the front counter was very helpful. Helped answer my questions about catering and guided me through the menu selection. Store was very clean and the ordering is process was very easy. Brandon brought out the strawberry pretzel pie and oatmeal skillet cookies ordered with the boxes open to see if they were to my liking. Both were backed perfectly and tasted delightful. If you are new to newtown square I highly suggest you check out the crumble cookies at the Ellis Preserve.“

“We chose Ariano for a baby shower and our experience was exceptional. From the moment Jamie, our waiter, greeted us until the moment we left we were impressed. Jamie was amazing, accommodating and professional. Ben, another waiter, was equally so. Both made us feel comfortable and welcome. The food was delicious, bountiful, and beautifully served. Timing for the different courses was perfect. “The place was absolutely packed on a Friday night. It was surprising to see only 3 ice cream flavors: chocolate, vanilla and a special custom one they made but that's what makes the quality of the ice cream so good. I got a turtle ice cream sundae and it was incredible. The ice cream itself was so creamy and the perfect amount of milky tasting. What stood out was the flavor was a touch more sweet than store bought ice cream, maybe from vanilla extract but not in an overpowering way at all. They also sold various candy, chocolates and candied apples. I took home a turtle apple too, which was also incredible. Green apple was fresh, chocolate covering was decadent and combo of toppings perfect. I have no pictures to share because it was eaten too quickly. Please do yourself a favor and visit!“

However, the line moved fast.My younger son ordered the mint chocolate chip ice cream and my older son tried the moose tracks. (I took a taste of both)The mint chocolate chip was so delicious, it reminded me of ice cream I got from a little candy shop up in Northern Wisconsin when I was a kid. “I love Scoops for their ice cream and home-made water ice. Whether you're getting a pint to take home or just something to eat on their deck, it's great. I also adore that they take time off around some national holidays (like Memorial Day and Labor Day) for their staff (mostly high school and college kids) to take off and be with family. They announce closures on their social media (FB and IG) so my friends and I know to make other plans (or just to wait an extra day for our fix!) Only suggestions for improvement are from my friends (who want more dark chocolate ice cream) and my sister (who wants no-sugar-added vanilla). I would also love a straight up blue moon. I also need to have more water ice but since the ice cream's before the water ice, I forget!“

“I was out at the Home Depot in Broomall and was taking West Chester Pike home and came across this Rita's and decided to stop off. I went up to the window and looked at their menu. I was surprised to see they had a variety of custard flavors including mint, birthday cake along with the usual vanilla and chocolate. I decided to try the birthday cake custard in a medium cup. It came out to a little over $3, which I found to be fairly reasonable and it came out very fast. There was not much seating other than a few benches in the back, which were filled. However, they had a nicely sized parking lot that you could walk around and enjoy your sweet treat at. Altogether, this is a nice Rita's with a variety of water ice and custard flavors with good customer service.“

“Everytime I go visit my family in Philly, I have to go to Joe's Water Ice. Since they live pretty close to it, I always walk here and on a hot summer day after sweating and walking to this place, it is always a nice treat to order some delicious shaved ice. I personally love the lemon flavor because its not too sweet or sour. I've had the cherry one, but personally that one is too sweet for my liking. You really gotta come here if you have never been to this place for some water ice! Even during colder seasons, I will always come here and enjoy my lemon ice.“
