“This is a charming place for a good meal and fantastic drinks. They have a better draft list than most other restaurants in the area and a great list of cocktails. I like their sandwiches but lately almost always order a flatbread, which are delicious and provide me with leftovers. They hit a little rough patch after the pandemic where service was lacking due to the staffing shortages but the service has been great on our last several visits, even when we get an upstairs table. “I’ll start off by saying if the prices were lower, I’d be giving them five stars. The burgers are honestly very good but for what it is, and the portions, I feel it’s a tad overpriced. We’re paying about the same as one of Chicago’s best burger spots, but I usually leave there full. I never leave burghers full even though I finish my burger and fries. I don’t know what it is, I think the burger is not as filling as it looks? But it’s really good don’t get me wrong lol not a big fan of their beer, haven’t had one that I like that much yet. I’m more of an 11th Hour girl. But yes good experience overall and their smashed burger was way better than I thought it would be! “We have been here several times over the past year and the food and service has always been the same-- great! We have never had a bad experience or meal. We have also had take out and love the special holders for tacos that keep them upright. All of employees have been polite and friendly. We have not experienced any of them acting stressed or in a rush. Mercedes is such a great bartender. She helps to select the best drafts with her knowledge of each one. I love it when someone knows their IPA's! She is also a delight to talk to and makes us feel so welcome. The happy hour lasts until 7pm! I would say the service was quick, but it wasnt until the order was submitted; which is about a 20 min difference than when you place/pay on line. So i waited over 40 minutes. I don't know who's glitch it was, but that made for a less than stellar experience. Otherwise, zero complaints. I think it depends on who is cooking because sometimes the are cooked to perfection, and other times they are dry and over done. But the toppings are always unique and good.
