“New experience locally - a self serve tap room. If you like beer this is for you. Reasonably price and about 40 to choose from. The wine was good but a bit on the expensive side. They have wine slushes that I will try next time. Atmosphere is laid back and very nice. The food was good - loved the French fries that where like a chip but not. I'll compare this to a couple NJ restaurants I've found the be outstanding, Bernardsville inn and the now defunct Chef Michael White's Due Terre(Osteria Morini) and Due Mari.Always wanted to try this place but opted out due to no online reservation. (me being lazy and not calling) Well it was the wife's birthday and even though we already did dinner at Melt yesterday today being her birthday and a last minute whim was able to get seats at the bar. This restaurant topped everything I've visited so far in PA since 2013. I wish I came here instead of Melt and I love Melt. We even sat next to a couple from our old home town of Piscataway NJ. Small world. The other patrons at the bar (locals, regulars) assured me this was "the place" The food was amazing. Best calamari appetizer ever. It was not the traditional breaded and fried. This was sautéed with spinach, red peppers and gnocchi. Absolutely delicious.The lamb chops and the filet was cooked to perfection. Drinks outstanding. “We love this place, we have never been disappointed, except when we forgot it closes at 1:30, 7 days a week. The food is generous in amounts, they have a creative menu, but also offer lots of comfort food and good old stand-bys. It has clean restrooms, and a friendly helpful staff. “Went there for the first time on Friday night. We knew they didn't take reservations and were prepared to wait. We put our names in and were told it would be about 15 minutes which was fine. We were super excited as the restaurant looked really nice inside and we had heard the "ghost stories" so we were looking forward to the whole experience. Sadly the waitress came up and told us she was going to seat us in "the other dining room" which is just an extra room they use for small events and such. NOT the same ambiance as the main room for sure. Plus if you need to use the restroom you have to walk outside and back into the main room which is inconvenient. She should have asked if we were ok not being seated in the main dining area as we would have gladly waited a bit longer for that to happen. Our waitress was delightful and our drinks were very good. Food came out too quick after our appetizers....we literally had just started eating them when our food was there. Waitress did apologize so it was nice she realize that was a negative. More often than not, we can’t seem to find a place that has good breakfast potatoes, so it was a pleasant surprise.
