This place is absolutely amazing! The alabaster gumbo I had here is some of the best soup-like dishes I have ever had.

Decided to try out the place and noticed how small the portions were(small container of rice with gumbo ontop for nearly 10$). I then ordered a thing of Nutella beignets. While on the way home, I noticed that I was not given the beignets. I was able to pick them up the next day to find that I was given regular beignets and not the Nutella ones. The regular beignets were not the best. You would have better luck going to another food place in the terminal

As a New Orleanian who visited on Mardi Gras day, I hate to write this. But this is NOT the place. I was seriously disappointed in the quality of the food and even more the service. We ordered Red Beans (wife doesn’t get that it’s a Monday only thing) and the crawfish etouffee because they were not in the mood to make anything not already in a steam tray. Red Beans weren’t soft. The Etouffee was greasy and lacked the usual balance. The side of Cornbread was seriously good though! Overall, the flavors screamed of a visitor who found a cookbook and thought they knew better. It was Louisiana-like but not Louisiana food. The service was snappy and rather brash. Lady and cooks were not pleasant. Not looking to make a return trip.

I always loved the jambalaya but today my jambalaya had 1 small shrimp, one slice of sausage and no other protein, all I got was flavored rice. I will never go back for what used to be my favorite dish.

The gumbo was delicious. Definitely a spot ill return to when i come through philadelphia again!
Cool spot right there in the market. They had me at beignets! In Philly?! They also have a Cajun inspired breakfast with po'boys and staples like red beans and rice, topped with poached egg. Good stuff. They also have hard to find alligator, which I hope to try next time. Go there if you have some room in your stomach.

Good food but they are slow af. Super unorganized. Needs to be only 1 person taking orders. Not 4-5 diff people. Thats how orders get lost. And then they just giving sandwiches to people who just ordered. No checking orders or if that sandwich went to another order.
