Amazing breakfast spot! If you eat here, you won’t need to eat again until dinner. The crème brulee French toast was amazing, highly recommend!

We (2) ate here on a Tuesday morning. We had no wait for a table. The service was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the Peach Cobbler French Toast, the Cinnamon Bun French Toast and a side order of bacon. Our server asked what our crispness preference for the bacon was, which I've never been asked before and it was served exactly as requested. The portions are massive and very flavorful and fresh. It is cash only, which we knew going in. Will definitely be returning to try more.

Food is quite good here. We got the waitress from hell though. The manager didn't really subscribe to the customer is always right credo either.

Food was food. Seating was horrible. Freezing cold because seating is next to the door. It's 32° currently and you can feel it inside. We asked to move and they claimed there was no seating upstairs even though I watched several parties of 2 go upstairs after us. Uncomfortable to eat. Should've ordered to go.

I wonder if the cash only, mandatory service charge (18%) + cash tip is a tax avoidance scheme. It's 2024, pay your taxes and accept cards!

Beware of extra charge when you get your check. There was 3 of us, there was a charge on the bill, it said service charge, it was 10 and change. I asked why the service charge, they assess a fee if the bill is over $50.00 i cant remember tge %, our bill came to $65 and change. I think it was a bit shady to charge that fee. Be careful when you tip. I tip 20% usually, but it's underhanded to charge that fee. They also only accept cash as payment. When traveling it's a bit inconvenient.

On our annual Philly party trip, we lucked up and found Green Eggs Cafe just steps away from our hotel (Royal Sonesta). If I lived in Philly, this would be one of my favorite breakfast spots for sure. We didn't have reservations but we were able to snag a couple seats at the very large bar. Green Eggs is deceptively large, with a whole separate section to the rear. As far as brunch food goes, Green Eggs can't be beat. My friend ordered the French toast sampler and I went for the Chicken eggs Benedict. I've never had that iteration of the Benny, man was that thang GOOOOOOD!!! My friend said the French toast sampler was better than any dessert he's ever had!The reason Green Eggs didn't squeeze a 5 out of me, for one, it's a cash only establishment. Who carries cash these days but they do have an ATM on site. Second, for some mind baffling reason, they have a manned hostess booth OUTSIDE in the freezing cold. Why in the world would they do that? It literally was 35 degrees the day we visited.Other than those two hiccups, we enjoyed Green Eggs Cafe thoroughly and we'll definitely be back next year!!

Great atmosphere, however the food and service were supremely disappointing.I ordered “The Kitchen Sink” to find an absolute mound of food that was not edible. Beneath the mound of cold biscuit and gravy I found eggs that lacked flavor and the worst part: potatoes that were still cold/raw.The service did not acknowledge that I wasn’t able to eat the food as served and the only person that seemed to notice was the busser who cleared the table full of uneaten food and didn’t speak enough English to understand that the food wasn’t passable to be fed to animals. Would not recommend.

Love the bright, open space of this location. You’ll never get up from your table hungry, as the portions are larger than life. As someone who eats plant-based, I really enjoy the selection of vegan breakfast classics. I wish they had vegan “meats” as side options. Remember to bring cash or use the ATM on-site (warning for my fellow long nail girlies that you may need assistance removing card!). Food comes out fresh and fast and the staff is very friendly and helpful.Dietary restrictions: Vegan-friendly options that are big on flavor.

HORRIBLE!!!!! Extremely racist and dismissive. Everyone had a staring problem to the MAX except for one worker who minded her business. Me and my cousin were sitting right near the front and the hostess was just leaning against the counter STARING. All up in our business. That girl was off honestly. The people from the back would just casually come to the bar and lean on the counter just to STARE! Our waitress was decent until she saw the tip even tho we were required to pay an 18% service fee. The manager was also in la la land because everytime i asked him a question, It didn’t seem like he knew left from right—let alone which city he was in. We were a little late leaving past closing time, like 11-15 minutes late and all the workers were just lined up looking at us. I mean VISCOUSLY STARING. EVERYTHING WE DID, SOMEONE WAS STARING. It had to be a good 6-7 ppl staring at us. One word: Racism. Mind you, there were other customers still in there and yet all eyes were on us. As the manager walked past, I asked the him was there a reason everyone was staring, he goes and says “I don’t know, it’s probably because it’s near closing time” i said “They were already staring before closing time “ THEN HE PROCEEDS TO SAY “I don’t think they’re staring at you, there’s other customers here too so…” I was like “ok then” and he just walked back into la la land. My gosh. Just stay away from the place if you can!!!!ALSO THE FOOD WAS BLAND!! GO SUPPORT ANOTHER CAFE PLEASE, I INSIST.

I felt it was a bit over hyped? The food was ok, but with a name of green eggs. I expected more dishes with eggs and there weren't much and all were Benedict style. I went there for breakfast and didn't enjoy it as much as I would have liked.
