tried to go there with some friends tonight. just got off work in jersey and drove over to grab dinner but when we got there the bouncer in the front denied us entry because we "looked too wasted". all of us were stone cold sober so to assume that was weird. he had turned away two girls in line in front of us for the same reason who also told him they were there to grab dinner. seems like this guys doesn't know how to do his job and can't tell what being drunk looks like. we were calm, quiet, respectful and walking straight no reason to indicate being drunk at all. if i was to guess, the middle aged women in front of us and my group weren't the kind of clientele he wanted in the bar.

Service is great! We've got appetizers and delicious bloody Mary's. My sister got a vodka soda. He dolled up the drinks so nicely for us! Great spot in Philly!

This place is unreal. I have seen them lay hands on random people and kick them out contingent on the bouncers discretion, which typically has no merit. The manager was raising his voice at random people and reinforcing the bouncers decision with no context. As a by-stander terrible experience. Would never suggest this place.

The bouncers laugh at you behind your back when you’re trying to be kind. Brings out the manager who wants you to write a review so here I am. Then the bouncer gets physical with me and my partner.

Your staff shouldn't be kicking people out who call an Uber when last call is made and they have only 6 minutes to wait for their ride, especially not in an area like that. Really terrible. Your staff sucks

As a concert venue this place is still super legit but as a restaurant i gotta knock it. I dont know what happened but the food got more expensive and lower quality. Disappointing meal

Attended a new wave, Depeche Mode themed dance night and had a blast! A total blast! The music was slamming all night long and had to force myself off the dance floor to rest and hydrate. This event was on the 2nd floor so didn't explore too much on 1st level. It got super packed and was lovely and kicking all night long. Friendly staff, great ambience. Well most certainly go again!

My favorite bar in Philly -- JB's has good food, good drinks and a good vibe. Everything from their menu is amazing, I love that they have a rotating beer list, and the bartenders are knowledgeable enough to make any off menu drink you could think of. Will say, if you're there on a Friday or Saturday night, the overflow from Garage across the street makes the crowd pretty bro-ey, but it's to be expected. All I ask is that they please bring back the elderflower liqueur so I can get my favorite spritz again

What more can someone say? Actually, the veggie burger is good, get that. Besides that, it's just the best bar.

Food and bar/counter service were great! Had a hard time finding the door, the decor is aged and quite dark, and the stool I sat on at the counter had a serious tilt. When you go, try the burgers, they're really good! The place has a retro vibe, even playing 80's/90's television shows on the TV. It's worth a pop-in!
