Some of the best Mexican we've had. We tried the enchiladas Rojas which were outstanding. Portions generous. Sauces very flavorful. People were lovely too.

Nice side corner restaurant serving Mexican foods and drinks. Started with very good fresh tortillas and house salsasI had the fajita with beef, chicken, and shrimp. Lots of well cooked veggies. Sides of lettuce, cojtita cheese and refried beans. A large Mexican coke bottle was also added. My partner had the chorizo burrito and a horchataWe both were very satisfied with the foods. Recommended thoroughly.

I've been ordering takeout from here for a while and finally had the opportunity to dine in recently. Before placing our orders, we got a standard complimentary basket of tortilla chips and dips. The chips were so fresh and the beans and cheese toppings made them extra delicious! My husband and I shared the guacamole and as our entree, I had the bistec azteca and my husband had the carne asada platter. Everything was really good and looked exactly like the pictures on the menu. The steaks were chewy but well seasoned. I usually never go beyond tacos and enchiladas when I do takeout so it was nice to try something new. This is probably my favorite Mexican restaurant in Philly right now because the food is so consistent. I'm still partial to the lingua tacos and chicken enchiladas here (both the mole and verde).

Great local place for Mexican food.Dine in is great with complementary chips to start off. Also this place does not serve alcohol, but you can BYOB.Tried tacos this visit. They were awesome when you get them with nopales. Campechanos were filling, and the tripas were nice and crunchy.Ended with a wonderful slice of flan.

The food is very good, but make sure it is not spoiled. If you complain about something, be sure to talk to the manager.Order tacos and a panzita broth. The tummy was broken, I complained, they guaranteed me that they would replace it and that the manager would call me, it never happened.(Unfortunately I didn't take photos)

1. One the best Mexican restaurants in Philadelphia.2. The Lengua Cemita was amazing, the beef tongue was tender and fatty. The protein did not overpower the cemita, as the cheese and veggies balances everything out very well.3. Chips and salsa were served before the meal.4. Service was fast and pleasant.5. The atmosphere felt very authentic to Mexico, from the decorations to the food.

There is no lack of Mexican restaurants in South Philly, but Los Gallos is the best of them all. The food is stellar! It's a cute little spot inside or they do deliver as well. (It would be easy to miss that since they aren't on any delivery platforms and don't have online ordering-you gotta call the restaurant like the old days) Worth it!

If i could give this no stars, i would. I used to go here often for dining in and ordering out. I'm a very loyal customer and order from them often, but i will no longer support their business. Due to the inconsistency of payment, I normally don't question my bill and pay in good faith what is giving. Today, i decided to ask. I called in for delivery around 5ish, and he took my info such as address, call back number, and all my orders i placed. Towards the end of my orders, I asked the man who took my delivery orders to attach a menu and also a receipt. I know there's delivery fees and taxes when ordering out, but something wasn't adding up with the pricing. I kindly asked him for the breakdown of my order along with whatever fee they charged. He put me on hold, and somehow, I got disconnected. I called back and it went to voice-mail. After my 8th attempt at calling back, they finally picked up the phone call. I mentioned to him that I placed a delivery order about 10 minutes ago, and I'm calling back for my total bill. I wanted to make sure the delivery man gets the appropriate tip. The man over the phone told me they were closed and didn't have an order for my address. Not to mention, this is the same man who took my complete order and told me it will be 25 minutes for my delivery. He also mentioned he tried to get back to me, but we got disconnected. At this point, I was upset with the flip flopping. He had my info, such as my call back phone number, but didn't bother to tell me I won't receive any delivery because they were "closed." At this point, I'm becoming frustrated because if they were closed, why answer the phone and take orders and tell your loyal customers it will be 25min for delivery? If i didn't call back, i would have been waiting forever for my delivery that was placed. If he was honest with this interaction, there would have been some sort of understanding, and i could have placed an order somewhere else and not wasted my time. I normally don't write reviews but if a business is wasting your time, giving you bogus excuses (lies), charging extra on the bill without customers being aware, this is not the place to support local businesses. Now that I look back, it make sense why they don't have an Itemize receipt, so they can squeeze an extra $5-$10 on the bill in which the business themselves couldn't explain. RUN! Don't support fraudulent businesses. They are stealing from our community. God knows how many customers have been overcharged, and they got away with it.

Tried for the first time last night. Wanted to sit down inside but found ZERO parking. We drove around for about 20 minutes to just order to go because it was raining and we weren’t able to find parking within 2-3 blocks. Food was ready in 15 mins like she said. I was in and out to meet my fiancé who had to drive around the block due to no parking. The food was SO good. Flavorful grilled steak tacos and horchata that was so refreshing. Will definitely try again but just to go for now.
