Waiter was super quick and nice. Best service and food I’ve gotten in awhile. The food is super fresh and I can’t wait to eat this place again.

Delicious, quick, and comforting rainy day lunch! Ordered the Aka Nom Nom chef special with the pork jowl upgrade. Large portions, high quality ingredients, and basically umami heaven in a bowl. I will definitely be back to try more!

EDIT to reply to the owner: This was absolutely at Nom Nom Ramen on 18th street in Philly, between Huda and Ruth's Chris. I dined in and ordered the chicken chintan ramen with shoyu broth. The point that you made about the chicken is exactly my complaint. The chicken is SUPPOSED to be hot. Mine was cold as it obviously was not warmed properly. The noodles were a whole other issue... As if they all got suck to the bottom of the pot and solidified together.I got chicken ramen and the chicken was cold and so tasteless. The ramen noodles were also in large hard clumps so it was basically inedible. I tried dunking the cold chicken deeper into the ramen to get warm but it was all so off-putting and was extremely tasteless anyway. Will NEVER be back here and I wish I had seen reviews like this to know not to go in the first place

Veg Karai Ramen is the best if you like spicy food.

Okay. I stopped by this place on a Sunday evening while on a business trip. My general rule of thumb is to not judge a restaurant based on Sunday or Mondays. That being said, this restaurant is the exception to the rule. I had the pork belly buns and the aka Ramen. The flavors in both of these were amazing. You should definitely give this place a shot. The broth in the Aka Ramen is simmered for 36 hours! Also, prices were very reasonable. The restaurant itself is on the smaller size but nicely appointed. The server was efficient and attentive. Can't say enough nice things about this place.

Edit to add that the info for this place says Cash Only, this is not the case. Can't figure out how to edit that part. They take all kinds of cards as well as Apple Pay and other tap-to-pay services. This place is legit. I’ve eaten at several places in the states claiming to have tonkotsu ramen and this is the only restaurant that has tasted like the real thing. I talked one of the gentlemen working there, I assume he was the owner, and he said they cook their broth for 36 hours, unlike other places that take shortcuts. Tonkotsu ramen is a serious time investment to make it right and these guys are certainly doing it right. I would put this up against many of the ramen joints in Japan. If you like ramen and haven’t been here yet, you need to go.Also, the staff was super friendly and very inviting. Great ramen and great service.

Had a completely epic time with my friends at Nom Nom. We came here after celebrating my grandfather’s funeral and boy did it pick our spirits right up. The soup was not only hot… but also delicious… We got the Aka Buns (It’s Aka— pronounced A-kah NOT A.K.A. ?)… let’s just say there was some egg in the soup and on our face! Next time I will use the bathroom!!

This is my husband and I’s go to place. The pork belly is unreal- literally melts in your mouth. We love how small and cozy the atmosphere is, amazing service and the cutest sweetest humans! Perfect all year round but especially in the colder months.

My go to ramen. One of the best spots in Philly. Small selection, but everything is really good. Service is quick and prices are reasonable. Highly recommend.

An amazing ramen spot! The customer service is great and the atmosphere is even better. My go to is the spicy ramen and if I'm filling bold I will get the fire bomb.

Ordered the AKA Ramen, a chefs recommendation and it was absolutely delicious. Meat was tender and very tasty, egg was perfectly cooked and also service was great. I had to wait for like 5min maximum and got my ramen, really great. It’s a small place, paying by card is possible, can totally recommend. Will be back.
