I just have to say that Sampan has a fantastic happy hour. Very cheap but sizable portions for happy hour food and their house sake is great! This was a good place to catch up with friends. We sat at the back bar, which meant that we got to watch the kitchen staff make the food going out— I thought this was a cool experience, and also gave me good ideas on what to order next. We will be back!

I would plan on being partnered someone. Small portions are great for sharing and i recommend sharing. I had 4 small dishes and was stuffed. Did not hp the fact that i had a big burrito for lunch. Enjoy and try diff stufff

I made a reservation during restaurant week, I did not realize that they do not participate at dinner time. They do offer a chefs menu for $5 more with MORE food than the restaurant week menu on days other than Friday and Saturday. It was delicious, so much food! My husband usually is still hungry with small plates but we brought leftovers home!The ambiance is wonderful, and the cocktails are great! Definitely recommend the chefs tasting menu!
