Update: peach cobbler is phenomenal, as expected. Easily the best I've had. I've been to Second Daughter at least 4 times for different items and have been wow'd each time. Arguably the best bakery in Philly.The Brocky is outstanding. They scatter globs of their brown butter chocolate chip cookie dough on the brownie batter. The brownie is phenomenal on its own, but the cookie adds layers of brown sugary, buttery flavor and chewiness. They lightly sprinkle sea salt that creates bursts of sweet and salty bites. I can't imagine there is a better brookie in the region.

Absolutely amazing! Have been a customer for the past year and just recently trusted Second Daughter with our wedding desserts. We ordered small bites of four different items and every one was spectacular. We received so many complements from our guests. Rhonda was great to work with and even remembers me by name when I come to her stand at the Rittenhouse Farmer's Market. Would absolutely recommend!

I had read about them, but wanted to buy single servings of brownies and other goodies. I was thrilled to find them at a few local farmers markets with single servings! Everything is delicious - but my favorite is the cherry hand pie - which may be the most delicious thing I've ever eaten. That said, try everything else too - so many good sweets (cobblers, crisps and brownies) and great savory options too (The tomato pie is amazing, and the quiches and spinach pie).

I've been trying different things from the Tuesday Rittenhouse Square Market location and they have all been very good. That said, the almond cherry handpie today is perhaps the best thing I've eaten anywhere all year. (brownies are great, quiche is always good, the cobblers are amazing, you can't go wrong, but if you see the almond cherry handpie get it)

I am currently eating the biggest, and best, chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever had. I got it from their table at the farmer’s market. Everything else looked superb. So happy with this cookie. ☺️

I ordered the “Best of Philly” brownies, which definitely lived up to it’s name! The brownies were amazing, and I shared them with family and a friend and they agreed!I ordered the brownies to be delivered to my house and had some confusion on when they would ship; I was given a call back to help clear it up. Not only did I enjoy their baking, the owners are so nice, so it feels good to spend my money there! Will definitely have to try something different one day. Also, can’t help but notice the cakes on the website, beautiful colors!

We had the absolute privilege of having Rhonda make the most beautiful cakes for our wedding day - they were truly stunning, and our guests cannot stop talking about how we had the greatest wedding cakes they've ever eaten!Flavors were strawberry cake with honey frosting, chocolate cake with maple frosting, and a lemon curd cake with lavender frosting. We are so lucky!!

Your taste buds will have orgasms what these ladies create is phenomenally great.Review is wee bit delayed (sorry, life interrupted) - but the cake for daughter's party was outstanding!!!!!!! I left several questions about design, ingredients and pick-up, they were all answered quickly and accurately.Family will be getting many more items from this summer.

I came across this bakery from an Instagram post- I saw a picture of their brown butter chocolate cookies and went “wow, that looks incredible, I have to try it”. I placed the order for those anddd their award winning brownies because why not? When in Rome.When I say these two items are the best baked goods I’ve ever had in my life, like BEST EVER, that is not an exaggeration. You can tell that their ingredients are the best quality they could get, made with the utmost love and care, and not to mention talent for baking. I will be buying their goods forever & for every special occasion I ever have!
