Just two focused homies making the best quick sushi, sashimi, nori etc. it’s a counter with maybe 8 seats and it feels so informal but right to the point. I got the valentines roll and the fresh red tuna was so buttery soft. I loved it. Also don’t skip the sashimi platter!! Great place for any quick satisfying meal. Lots of people come through for takeout so it’s incredibly busy but they are efficient. Order at least 30 mins ahead so you’re not waiting too long - They are very busy on Friday nights.

I've read most of the reviews here on this post and like the writers, I agree with the fine atmosphere, the food and the efficiency of the chefs but I didn't agree with and noticed with question the size of my sushi rolls in comparison to the four young college students that came in after I arrived, two of which ate the sushi w/their hands (clear amateurs and it's crass, lol) Having dined in several sushi houses across Center city let alone Philadelphia over the years this place WAS one of my favorites until last night.I've been here about approximately 5 to 6 times and I always felt a little bit of customer bias but didn't pay it too much attention until last night my suspicions were confirmed when I sensed a feeling of terse, unfriendly customer service and bias.I won't indicate the chef that displayed this bias but attitudes like this flow from the top.I WON'T be returning here. I'll remain going to their competitions in the area rather than to be "Sneak dissed on the low" and keep your self respect, dignity and character as a more sophisticated person rather than to be on the receiving end of socially biased, micro aggressions.I only think of what size w/the mayor's rolls be were she to walk in and order the meal I ordered, what cm size difference would she get served?Im not having sushi here anymore in 2024.

Small restaurant with a few tables and a counter. Good sushi, made fresh right in front of you. We ended up here by chance, and were not disappointed. Prices are really reasonable, service is friendly and fast. We got the 3 roll special. There are steps up to get inside and not much room to maneuver. Soda/tea/water is serve yourself.

Tastes delicious! We tried the salman combo with miso soup, and the Three roll special (salmon, shrimp tempura and yellowtail jalapeno).

They got the best sashimi in town and the owner is very nice and friendly.Went for the third time the other day and they just got some high-quality ankimo liver. The liver is amazing. My fav dishes include tuna dumplings, ocean brother roll, salmon roe sashimi (love the cucumber base), and uni sashimi. All of their food are flew from Japan and I will say the quality matches their price.Highly recommend if you don’t wanna spend crazy money on sashimi/sushi/simply atmosphere but just some quality seafood

Very cute sushi spot. Only sits about 10 people. It's very cozy and the chef makes the sushi right in front of you. The 3 rolls for $15 deal is insane for center city. The fish also tasted fresh. Overall a hit for me and my bf. Will be coming again.

Great prices, fresh fish, decent rolls. BYOB, very small counter seating, no tables. Perfect for neighborhood takeout or a quick lunch if you can snag a seat! We enjoyed our meal and the prices.

You can never go wrong with Vic's Sushi Bar. Affordable, tasty, and quick service. My bf got a variety of sushi here, and even though it was his first time, he loved it there! The little restaurant is always bustling and has a good amount of people there, but since service is so quick, we didn't have to wait too long. Highly recommend this little spot!
