“A group of 5 of us visited Dish last night and the meals were amazing. Grilled Squid, the best I have ever had. Where else can you find it not breaded and fried? Add to that their amazing sardines so fresh and good. Pasta Funghi another high. Exquisite detail to taste in every dish. The owners go way out of their way to make you feel welcomed and happy and very satisfied. A must visit when you are lucky enough to get a reservation though other friends have happily sat at the bar for dinner just to be there!! Kudos to Dish!”

“We are so lucky to have an establishment like Baby Loves Tacos in the East End! This family not only knows how to make amazing tacos, burritos, etc., but they also know how to feed the soul of a community. From their donation based coffee station to their pay it forward meals to their community meals at the end of the day when they have some extra ingredients, everyone is treated with respect and dignity. If you are craving anything on their menu, you won’t be disappointed. This is a must visit establishment when in the neighborhood.”

“For six years I have been looking for a new favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh since my old favorite one closed. I have never found a place that had the perfect food and atmosphere I was looking for until I entered Lilith last night. Everything about this restaurant is phenomenal. The service from being greeted to the absolutely awesome server we had was excellent! The food had a wow factor rarely found in Pittsburgh. I’m not usually a huge fan of how vegetables are cooked most places and the veggies in my dish just blew things out of the water. You could tell they were fresh and local too. The fish I had was just amazing. It was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Needless to say I will be back again and again now to experience more culinary delights!”

“I love the amount of real spices they use in their curries. I can tell that the restaurant has a great quality of food. I am very sensitive to (hot) spices, but I want to enjoy the flavors of Indian food. If I ask for a 0 the spice level feels too hot for me. Last time I came, I asked for them to adjust the spice level to be milder than 0. They were able to reduce the heat in the dish to levels I could handle without reducing the flavor. I have not dined in at this restaurant, but enjoy the ambience of the place. It is clean and the decor is eye catching.”

The manager came out and yelled at them and said he could hear them all the way to the back of the store. They were not that loud, i was still able to talk to my nephew , sitting across from me in a normal voice. “I live around the corner from Cilantro & Ajo & somehow have missed it for who knows how long (becsuse I always the other direction on Carson). A great discovery. Food that's not American, a little exotic -- not trying hard to be fancy. A fun place. I had the Reina Pepiada Arepa & would have it again. Flan for dessert. Very good. On Sunday they have a meaty soup that is reserved for Sunday & which reminded me of when I lived in Nicaragua for two months, many years ago, with a family. This soup was a Sunday special for the family.”

Elijah was very attentive and always happy to meet my toddlers many requests 😅 Also would like to add that even though they were super busy, it took them less than 10 minutes to get us seated and the food didn’t take long to come out at all. All the food was hot and fresh, even the strawberries were freshly cut. We will definitely be spending many more breakfast and lunch dates here!”

“This is a special place. Liege waffles are very different than anything I've ever had. They are made from a yeast dough, with caramelized brown sugar inside, smallish, and served warm in a napkin so that you can take it with you while window shopping. Please note: these are not meant to be served with ice cream on top. The ice cream and waffles are both very good by themselves. The owner only serves them together because people ask for that, but I think they ask for it because they think that's how it's meant to be served. (At least, that's what we thought!)”

I have been around for over 40 years and have eaten at sandwich shops all over, but Peppi's blew me away. Not only is this my absolute favorite sub spot now, it easily earned a spot in my top 3 favorite restaurants anywhere. It might even be number one.

The Highlights:
* The Food: The subs my wife and I ordered were unreal. Fresh, loaded, and hands down the best we have ever had.

* The Value: The portion sizes are massive for what you pay. It feels like a throwback to the days when you actually got incredible value for your money.

* The Staff: Some of the friendliest, most welcoming people you will meet. You can tell they take genuine pride in their food, their history, and taking care of their customers.

* The Atmosphere: Plenty of comfortable, clean seating and a huge menu with tons of great options to choose from.

If you are anywhere near the North Side, this place is an absolute must-visit. We will be back on a regular basis.”

We tasted several samples before we ordered a growler that was perfect for 2 of us. We sat inside as it was a bit windy that day. There is great outside seating as well. There were board games available to play and great views of the farm. We tried the sorbet on the way out. It was delicious!! We also picked up a 6 pack to enjoy later. This would be a great place for family fun or just for 2. I love to find local small businesses that support each other and the community! We will definitely be back.”

It had a 1 a piece of bacon on it that looked like it was sitting around for about a week. It was soggy and black and dark. Now, we all know. Bacon is supposed to be crispy if I didn't ask for the onions, I guess that's all that would have been on. There would be just the bacon in the sauce. The sandwich was called and so was the fries. The fries did not have any salt on them. All I can say is that it was horrible. And I will not be going back again. I do not understand how they got 4 or 5 stars.”

Aside from a small miscommunication where the side dishes were delivered to the table alongside the apps, everything was very good. They corrected the sides and delivered fresh with the entrees, the sides were easily large enough to share amongst three or four people and the food was very good. The app, sides and entrees, as well as the gluten free chocolate cake were all delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant and plan to return.”

“I am a foodie for sure and this experience was a flavor explosion!! The beets were a texture fantasy with a crunch and sweet savory home run. And the Striploin?!!!!! Filet tenderness with a better than NY strip flavor (how is it possible?). Second only to my NYC Wagyu A5 favorite. I was a little hesitant when I first saw the menu, but nothing disappointed at all! Would definitely recommend and return with friends for that steak!!! Chef Dave is a Master of flavors. Shame on me for reviewing before dessert. COME FOR THE DESSERT!! SMH. “First time dining at Ranucci's and it will not be the last. We were greeted by the owner upon arriving. Very friendly and very inviting. Our waiter was also very friendly and ver attentive. The food portions were very big and absolutely delicious. We started with a beet salad and it was so good. I had the CC's veal with crab cakes and my friend had the Sunday gravy. Both dishes were delicious and the red sauce on the Sunday gravy was out of this world. We had a tiramisu for dessert and again, it was outstanding. For a nice evening out, give them a try.”

“Went out with friends to Top Pot &KBBQ and it was great. There were so many options to pick for both the BbQ and hot pot. I really enjoyed the tom yum hot pot with shrimp, enoki, bean sprouts, sea weed, carrots, calamari, red snapper and some beef. The pork belly was super good on the bbq as well. The staff was really friendly and very helpful. After we couldn’t eat any more, we found out about the ice cream. The matcha ice cream was really really good. We were talking about coming back before we even left the restaurant. I can’t wait to come back, so I can try more stuff off the menu. The price is also definitely worth it. It’s a great place.”

“Needle & Bean is my home away from home in the South Hills. Every barista is so welcoming and people I look forward to being served by and also getting music recommendations from. Mike, the owner, is always great for a music convo, plus his taste in music is impeccable. Not only that but it's one of the only coffee shops in the South Hills with free parking! This isn't even mentioning their 3rd wave coffee and superb vinyl offerings and growing event calendar. I cannot recommend N&B enough.”

“Stumbled here by chance and was incredibly impressed. The decor and scents are pleasant and welcoming and the gentlemen was kind and efficient. There was one other couple in the building so it was not crowded. I ordered an Iced Honey Oat Latte and my fiance ordered a hot Carmel latte. Both were delicious and flavorful. The sizes were also appropriate for the prices. I will return again soon.”

The soup dumplings were truly the only thing of mild concern only comparatively though. I have had better soup dumplings but these were still great. The service was extremely fast with us getting our food in under 5 minutes. The atmosphere was alright just certain things felt out of place.”

I will definitely return for more. You can see them working while shopping or enjoying the food, and you can also see artwork from local artists on walls. Very chic place!”
