“A group of 5 of us visited Dish last night and the meals were amazing. Grilled Squid, the best I have ever had. Where else can you find it not breaded and fried? Add to that their amazing sardines so fresh and good. Pasta Funghi another high. Exquisite detail to taste in every dish. The owners go way out of their way to make you feel welcomed and happy and very satisfied. A must visit when you are lucky enough to get a reservation though other friends have happily sat at the bar for dinner just to be there!! Kudos to Dish!”

“For six years I have been looking for a new favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh since my old favorite one closed. I have never found a place that had the perfect food and atmosphere I was looking for until I entered Lilith last night. Everything about this restaurant is phenomenal. The service from being greeted to the absolutely awesome server we had was excellent! The food had a wow factor rarely found in Pittsburgh. I’m not usually a huge fan of how vegetables are cooked most places and the veggies in my dish just blew things out of the water. You could tell they were fresh and local too. The fish I had was just amazing. It was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Needless to say I will be back again and again now to experience more culinary delights!”

“I love the amount of real spices they use in their curries. I can tell that the restaurant has a great quality of food. I am very sensitive to (hot) spices, but I want to enjoy the flavors of Indian food. If I ask for a 0 the spice level feels too hot for me. Last time I came, I asked for them to adjust the spice level to be milder than 0. They were able to reduce the heat in the dish to levels I could handle without reducing the flavor. I have not dined in at this restaurant, but enjoy the ambience of the place. It is clean and the decor is eye catching.”

“The Market in Verona is so awesome. It is so great to go in and get good quality food that you can reheat at home. I recently got the Eggplant Parmesan, pasta and risotto balls. Everything was so delicious and enough for another dinner. My husband got the Chicken Parmesan and really enjoyed it also. The service at the Market is outstanding and it was so nice to also meet Andrew the owner. I am looking forward to coming back again and getting more of this high quality and delicious Italian Food that reminded me so much of what my Mommy used to make. I highly recommend them.”

“We went to Monterey Bay Fish & Grotto on a whim to have a Friday evening bite the night before Valentines Day and it was phenomenal! We didn’t make a dinner reservation as we have in the past for the restaurant, so we stopped down into the lounge. The band that played in the lounge area, Jay & the Trio, was awesome! So Relaxing and elegant. They made our lounge experience, extra serene and special. Of course it being Valentines weekend it was quite busy, however we got a seat right away and it was perfect! Right by the window! We were able to see all of the pretty Pgh lights! Denise and Trent were awesome! Denise was our server and Trent was in the other room, yet any time he walked by he checked on us as well! Denise rocked the area with a smile even when I witness a man being rude towards her she kept a smile and stayed professional! Her service was great! They made a heck of team especially with the busy busy that was happening around them. The Valentines special app, yellow fish, was absolutely DEVINE!!!!! I am always skeptical about eating Tunas and the the yellow fish tuna was so good just typing about now makes me want it again! (wiping drool! Yum!) Kudos to the chef on that and I hope they keep it on the menu!!! The full lounge experience was a new experience for us! It was romantic, fun, and just wonderful! If you are looking for something to do or have a date I highly suggest you take a look at the bands on Friday night and just pop into the lounge are go a drink and a bite!!! Oh yes yes….i didn’t forget about the most delicate and delicious aaaand just gorgeous dessert than was on th V-Day special, and if they ever have it again…oh my GOSH, give it try!!! It’s so gorgeous you ALMOST don’t want to eat it, until you take that first bite and WOW!!! I heard chef Zoe is back and made it, maaaan am I excited about that!!! Amazing!!! Great Job, chef! I was impressed with all and highly suggest giving at least a stop into the lounge a try!”

A few people with us are pretty knowledgeable about microbrewing, and Chris still managed to impress them with his expertise and enthusiasm. He made the whole experience fun, informative, and memorable. Highly recommend the tour. And, if you get Chris as your guide, you’re in for a great experience!”

Went on Saturday morning and it was so impressive we said “We’re coming back tomorrow before we leave!” Only to return Sunday morning and they had standing room only! Sadly my party and I were just going to head back to Indiana, hungry when they called us back in and said”We’re going to make room for you all up top.” They proceeded to prepare another area upstairs to accommodate our party! We were there before a theater show and told our server that we had to leave at a certain time but one of our small plates didn't make it out by the time we had to leave. We paid our bill and ran, but on the way back I thought I'm just going to stop in to see if they still had our food. They said they got rid of it because it would have been cold, but they gave us a voucher to come in for a free appetizer in the future! So kind, thanks!”

“First time ever experiencing a twin peaks. Many of my friends and family have raved about other locations so when we saw one on our travels we decided to stop in. Here is my review in honesty: I know today was a big game day but we came in early to avoid that and potentially have a nice lunch. We told them that it was our first time, we weren’t told we had to scan for the menu until we looked down and saw that. Service was prompt but their customer service attitude was poor. When our food arrived the girl who brought it placed it on the other side of the table to where we had to grab it and place it in front of us. Our waitress seemed drab and seemed like we were wasting her time which isn’t exactly the best when someone is coming there the first time. Now the food itself was great, the decor was lovely put together but they need to work with their staff on being more personable. They weren’t smiling, talkative, they were in their phones, bartenders were complaining loudly. Honestly I felt like I was at a low budget Hooters mixed with the attitude of a Dicks. I would absolutely recommend this place for the food but not for the customer service.”

But the Porcini-Rubbed Lollipop Lamb Chops were unbelievable, honestly worth the trip itself. Not to mention the Lobster Mac-and-Cheese, which is second to none.

This was all of our first time at the restaurant. We were seated in the side 1 table room, the service was great, it was like our own little space. “This is a special place. Liege waffles are very different than anything I've ever had. They are made from a yeast dough, with caramelized brown sugar inside, smallish, and served warm in a napkin so that you can take it with you while window shopping. Please note: these are not meant to be served with ice cream on top. The ice cream and waffles are both very good by themselves. The owner only serves them together because people ask for that, but I think they ask for it because they think that's how it's meant to be served. (At least, that's what we thought!)”

“It has never been anything but a pleasant experience at Kyle’s Cakes n’ at! My husband, daughter, and I love cheesecake and first tried the cheesecake at a farmers market they were at. We knew we wanted to order their cheesecake for our wedding at that point.

Even with all the craziness of them opening their storefront the day of our wedding, they were super accommodating with properly packing the cheesecakes for us to travel a few hours with them. Everything turned out amazing and the cheesecake was a major hit with our guests!

More recently, we went in for last minute cookies for the holidays and Kyle offered to bake them fresh. Of course, the cookies tasted amazing as well! I cannot recommend Kyle’s Cakes n’ at enough!”

“My wife and I made a stop here while passing through Dormont, PA and it was a great little breakfast find. The place has a warm, rustic vibe, and our waitress was super friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Sparkie’s Omelette—which comes with kielbasa, Swiss cheese, and sauerkraut—and while it may sound like an odd combo, it was on point. Paired with home fries and wheat toast, everything hit the spot. Great food, cozy atmosphere, and good service.....can’t ask for more from a diner breakfast.”

“On my walk to get my favorite little donuts I get every time I’m home in PGH, I saw this little coffee shop. My husband’s flight kept getting delayed so I decided to stop in here after I got my donuts. I thought I would grab and go but decided to take a seat to kill some time. My drink was so good, and I loved the vibe of this place. They had a little dance party while I was there. I wanted to take a video but thought it might be weird. I’ll definitely be by to visit whenever I’m home. So glad my husbands flight kept getting delayed so I could discover this new favorite place 💕”

“Might be the only spot to serve Syrian coffee in PGH! They are the only one in the Strip to do so when I visited. We had come early in the morning so no one else was there and we had a nice chat with the owner!

“The food at this place is very good. The service on the other hand is awful. They are rude, slow and awkward. Customer service seems to be a secondhand thought. When our server dumped a beer all over my husband they hardly apologized and then rudely asked if he wanted another one… like it was an inconvenience to them… and then they charged us for both beers!!! Accidents happen, but the attitude and lack of apologies or even towels to clean up the mess tells you a lot about how the place is being run.”
