I wish I could give half stars because if so, I would more accurately rate the overall taste of my dishes at a 3.5. I ordered a seafood paella--flavor was deep & tomato-ey, with plump rice & a decent amount of seafood for the price--and a bifana with a side salad. The bifana was underwhelming, a simple seared pork chop on bread with lettuce and a few slivers of onion & red pepper on top. I wish the pork chop was marinated or seasoned with more than what tasted like just salt & pepper. Finally, not pictured, I ordered a rose latte with oat milk, seeing the number of photos of this drink in their Yelp reviews. Maybe it was because I got it to-go, but the drink was 90% oat milk and a hint of espresso. I could not taste the rose. I want to return to try their breakfast options, maybe those are more promising!

The guy who runs this place is so freaking nice!!! The portions are big, the atmosphere is adorable, and the dishes seem to be authentic Portuguese. We went during the week so it wasn't super busy, and the food came out quickly! Plenty of vegetarian or meat-centric options

My husband and I were lucky to be azorean cafe’s first wedding catering experience & were so happy with our decision! Elsa and team are so kind (you’ll notice this right away when you stop in for coffee or food) and professional. We were pretty laid back, but she continued to check in and make sure everything was ready and what we wanted. The paella was a big hit with us & guests, and we also had Mac n cheese and other more traditional food items for the less adventurous eaters. The appetizers were also amazing even though I had them at the end of our cocktail hour after running around taking photos. If you are considering azorean for event catering, I highly recommend them!

Always happy when I walk by and they're open, I can never resist their pastries. I always get a pastel de nata and usually something else (this last time I tried an amazing gluten free almond and chocolate tart), and everything I've ordered from their brunch and sandwich menu is always delicious. Highly recommend, and the paintings of the flowers make me feel like I'm in the Azores.

An variety of Portuguese dishes and drinks available. My friends from out of town loved this charming cafe in Bloomfield. They accommodated our large party and prepared the food quickly. The supreme omelette spices were aromatic and moka cafe was a great balance of sweet/bitter. Friendly service topped off the satisfying meal.

Always delicious & fresh eats and friendly service. My go to is the egg and cheese, it’s the homemade roll for me. But today I tried the French toast and it was delicious! It was just the right amount of sweet. Speaking of sweet…their Azorean sweets are hard to resist, they go great with their coffee. Love this gem of a place! Looking forward to trying their stew

We order through Uber and the menu did not include that the food had meat in it. As a vegetarian family this made me and my wife violently sick. Bread was also burnt to a crisp and we needed to remove it to make it edible. Terrible experience.Vegetarian options: Menu is unclear around included ingredients.Dietary restrictions: Do not order from Uber. They do not list full ingredients in their food.

Highly recommended! I happened upon this place while passing through Bloomfield, stopped in for coffee/brunch and glad I did. Portuguese inspired breakfast was absolutely delicious, excellent coffee, hard working and attentive staff. Looking forward to coming back!

I had a wonderful experience of coming here today, nothing never having been to Azorean before. A family own business, that is incredibly professional and warm. Interactions with the father and daughter that own this place were great, along with a very good menu and so many options I needed help figure out what to order. I had the supreme omelette and a cinnamon latte; my daughter had another brunch entrée and we loved everything that we had! I highly recommend this restaurant for brunch or lunch and will be back as often as possible!

First time here. Pleasant experience. Chorizo/Chourico skillet is very good.My heart and par of excellence award as a foodie went to the Apple Pasty. You can get it hot or cold with extra cinnamon that you put on if you need more.Pittsburgh Juice Company juices are sold here. Definitely had them on ice here.Great experience!

This review is only based on the seafood paella and juice that I ordered for delivery. I was surprised to see a low price point for seafood paella, but it was also a smaller portion than I expected. There was a good amount of seafood though. The paella was a bit on the tart side and didn't quite have the saffron flavors. I probably won't order this again. The juice was from the Pittsburgh Juice Company. It was an 8 oz bottle, but was definitely enough to give you a nutritional boost.

Excellent breakfast. Huge portions. Servers hustle. Asked for a to-go cup for coffee and they insisted I have a fresh full cup to go. Go here.

PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS PLACE! With so many restaurants in Bloomfield, the Azorean Cafe may get overlooked. But this is definitely a hidden gem serving some authentic Portuguese food! There were so many amazing choices on the menu, that I'm definitely going to have to come back soon. I opted to get the Bacalhau, which is a salted cod bake with an gratin potatoes in a white cheese sauce. This dish was absolutely delicious, and came with a generous portion of cod on the bottom! It also came with a little roll which was a nice surprise. My friend got the seafood paella, which comes with shrimp, scallops, mussels, and chourico, fresh parsley, peas, and carrots mixed with organic saffron yellow rice. He said the dish was super tasty and also looked like it comes with a nice amount of seafood as well. The staff there was super friendly and very patient with us as we navigated the menu. They continued to ensure us that we didn't need to rush and to take our time, which was amazing! All in all I had an amazing experience here at the Azorean Cafe and will definitely be back soon!
