The food is cheap and tasty. Service is always quick. Bathroom is scary... so maybe hold it in if you can? Otherwise one of the better spots to eat on walnut.

Dive bar right on Walnut Street in Shadyside. The staff was friendly and the food was yummy -- where else can you get a wrap with mozzarella sticks inside of it? Great for a quick, inexpensive bite or catching the game on the tvs.

Favorite and least pretentious bar on Walnut, but doesn't sacrifice it's quality in the process. Low-key, the weekend brunch is underpriced. Don't sleep on their ghost pepper cheese breakfast burrito!

The girl with a giraffe tattoo made the experience difficult. She loved to claim space of the bar that wasn’t used and to let everyone know that she worked there. Rob was an amazing at bartending. Quick and precise. However the off duty worker with a giraffe tattoo… was extremely unprofessional and rude. She tired throwing her weight around(literally and physically) about the fact that she worked there. She was pushing patrons, proclaiming that she worked there and deserved to have room… even though she was part time. The other workers sympathized with patrons even though she was aggressive with other patrons.

A not so hidden gem. This shadyside stalwart has great bar food and incredible wait staff who are just plain fun. Trivia and karaoke are a blast (though they start a bit late for those of us well beyond college age).If you want a local bar with carpeted floors, look no further.

I almost don't want to reveal our spot, but the breakfast on weekends here is a well-kept secret. They haven't raised the prices like everywhere else in the last few years, and they were already low to begin with. For coffee and a big filling breakfast, you can make it out for under $10 (seriously). The food is good and has a down-home, no-frills feel that will kill your hangover (or you can just delay it with an irish coffee). They also show soccer games if that's your jam. If not, people-watching can also keep you entertained here. At nights, they have a good bar crowd and affordable drinks!

I love Cappy’s! Great place to enjoy a drink with good company. Kristina and Rob are the best bartenders, and the DJ at Friday night karaoke is great. One of my go-to bars in Pittsburgh.

Great place to pop into on a cold and rainy night. It's warm and crowded inside. The burger was perfect, exactly what a cheeseburger should be. The potato midges were also an unexpected star and I recommend them. Chicken tenders left to be desired. Sever was very nice and helpful- and the bartender has a heavy pour!

It's a cool local dive bar in Shadyside. Not the vibe you would expect on Walnut Street and yet somehow it fits. Definitely made for the people who live in Shadyside that have been in Shadyside for a long time. Drinks service was quick. Seemed like the bartenders were familiar with some of the people at the bar, definitely a place with regulars. The drinks are cheap! Can't beat that. I do not try to food but I'm looking at other peoples dishes, it didn't look half bad for a dive bar. There's a limited amount of seating at the bar, well, I went during a Steelers game so that might've been the reason. They did play the sound during the game which was much appreciated. Bathroom is located downstairs. The women's bathroom is pretty clean. All-around cool dive bar to go to if that's your type of vibe. Nothing crazy, nothing flashy, it is what it is.

Great bar for college students and young adults. Open late and the bartenders are absolutely amazing. Great hospitality for college students and lots of fun inside... cheap drinks and good safe fun.
