Terrible customer service. The head of security, Ronnie, was very rude and unprofessional. He does not know how to speak to a woman. There are way better options if you are looking for night life in Pittsburgh. Go somewhere else.

Won the free party, invited people. Was under the impression we were in for a great night with good food and good music. The music was horrible and I feel they would benefit from a DJ instead of live music playing old music. The food was cold and we couldn’t even understand why as it was on top of burner flames. One of the dishes was chicken strips yet no sauces at all. We don’t know anyone who eats them this way. Just a bad time. We left after 20 minutes

Very fun Saturday night! The music was great and very diverse. It was great how the band really got the crowd into the music and most people were up on their feet dancing. $5 cover charge, but compared to other bars in the area this isn't unreasonable. All ages in the crowd, and it was clear that the venue was used to hosting parties (a going away party and a 21st bday in our case) as they had tabled reserved. Drinks were pretty standard and nothing too special. If you are sitting at a table though, you will have a waitress. Ours was very nice, but forgot our drinks one time. She realized ~30 min later and came back with our drinks as well as another round on the house. All in all a great way to start off a Saturday night.
I remember when dueling pianos meant dueling pianos. This is not it. So disappointed. However they do play music that gets the crowd going, it’s just not like New Orleans where the piano players egg each other on and really raise the bar for the crowd.

I used to go to Howl a lot when I was in college, so I was excited to come back as an adult & find that it was just as fun as I remembered! I love the live music, and the songs are almost all fun singalongs. The space wasn't too crowded - plenty of bar seating as well as room on the dance floor to dance. I wish there wasn't a cover, though, because that decreases the frequency with which I want to go. Every so often, though, it's a great group spot to visit! I also know they do private parties with food and drink specials. I didn't try any food while there on this visit (we had come from dinner already), and I only had a high noon so it's hard to judge their drinks based on that. Service was pretty fast though! Food: N/A Drinks: B- Service: B- Ambiance: B+
