“Good Pakistani food. Good portions. Decent service. Sometimes I experience some of the management talking very loudly over the phone. I also think the music doesn't contribute to the ambiance.Vegetarian options: Very good paalak paneer and chana masala.Dietary restrictions: Halal Pakistani food.“
“Amazing food by amazing people! The owners and staff are extremely passionate about their food! We had the weekly special Chole Bhature, Samosa and Naandilla which had the freshest chicken. The owner even gave us a sample of Rasmalai cake and it was so goood that we got a slice!“
“You must go to this place. We ordered chaat, sandwich, vada pav and pani puri. Everything was really good quality. The quantity wasn’t bad for the amount they charge. Overall, I would definitely go there again and you must try if you are in this area.“
“Lunch box is such a deal! Authentic , hot, fresh to order. Snag this if in a hurry. Otherwise Buffet is awesome. If you have the time to sit and eat, do it! Only complaint is the decor. Place has definitely seen better days. Doesnt stop one bit tho.“
“Masala House catered an event for 15 people and everyone was very pleased. The food was plentiful and delicious (chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, chana masala, vegetable vindaloo and garlic naan) and ready exactly when they said it would be. Suresh and his team were kind and professional. We would definitely ask them to cater again.“
“A very pleasant vibe with the environment, the food and the customer service. Will definitely take my friends and family to enjoy a hearty meal again. I would like to add that this is one of the finest restaurant in Pittsburg to experience the best moment regarding taste, environment & friendly staff.“
“So this tiny little spot is bright and cheerful despite being intimate in size. We were greeted immediately upon entry with a smile. They had to clear a table for us, but waited less than 2 minutes. The tables are snugly fit, so make sure you are ready to be close with your neighbors. But honestly, this was not bothersome. We partook of the lunch buffet. The selection was beyond compare. We have eaten at Indian buffets before and it's usually 3-4 entrees and a couple other items. This buffet was stocked. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free options, a small raw salad bar, probably 10 different entrees. The paneer dish was dreamy. There was a chicken kebab that was smoky, tender, well seasoned and delightful. Samosas, naan, 2 types of rice. All worthy of note. The bottomless supply of hit chai and mango drink hit the spot with the right spice levels and cooling levels for this girl who is generally not a fan of Indian food and I often feel chai is too much spice I liked this one so much I took a to go cup.And then there is dessert. 4 choices, each rivalling the next. I have to say the mango mousse took it home for me.This is a definite keeper for me“
“Excellent lunch spot for Indian food! Friendly staff that can explain clearly the menu including accurately depicting spice level. I had their Chicken biryani lunch special and it came in the perfect portion size along with the vegetable side (green beans). Price was very good as well as a bonus! Clean and quiet, highly recommend for a casual lunch in Pittsburgh“
“Excellent food, expertly seasoned and cooked perfectly! The dude at the counter was extremely polite and my gf and I both had an amazing time! The tables and booths were very comfortable and I loved the color scheme they had going! Interior was clean and well organized, this place has good vibes!Vegetarian options: Lots of dishes are marked as vegetarian, and there's an entire section for vegetarians.Parking: Very small 4 space parking lot out front, no parking in rear. Street parking available.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp, however, I would advise using caution and bringing a nice size wheelchair as the parking lot leans away from the building and the ramp is rather steep.“
“I rely on this awesome food truck for a good meal, and I can always count on it. The food truck by Soldiers and Sailors is particularly my favorite and I highly recommend this to anyone regardless of whether you are familiar with the cuisine.“
“Best Tandoori chicken around! If you're not sure you will like it, I recommend you check out the buffet on Saturday when you can try a variety of dishes. There is a lot of overlap with Indian food, but it is unique. Just be aware that meat is their specialty (especially chicken!) So if you are looking for a good variety of non-meat dishes, there is another well-known place just up the road where you can also find that. We are blessed with so many good options here in Pittsburgh... but in my opinion, Kebab King is one of the best!“
“Pleasantly Surprised! Before I go on about the food, I have to give credit to the young man who was our cashier. He explained everything since it was our first time in a very concise and patient manner. Very affable personality! The food: I got the lamb which was excellent but next time I'm going to get the chicken as they're grilled on a kebab in ceramic barrels. The brown rice and veggies were perfect. It comes with one sauce, but I got 3 additional as they're only $.35 each. I'd do it again. Tamarind Apple was my fave but I'd still get the other 3 again (I don't like Ranch, I'm not a yinzer.). I also got a side of naan. Excellent as well. I'm looking forward to this being a regular spot when we want something quick and effortless.“
“My mom and I came here for the lunch buffet and both of us have been so impressed with the flavors of everything! The staff has been very friendly and attentive, and I just want to reiterate again — their seasoning is so on point. I’ve never tasted chai like the one they serve; it’s almost floral. I’m writing this from my lunch table feeling full and oh so happy. Yay Spice Affair!“
“Wife, son, and I were all pleased with our meals. This was our second time there, and we will return. However, it is a fairly small place, and a regular menu... no buffet. Place was open on Christmas day.Vegetarian options: My son, a vegetarian, wanted to return.“
“The food was extremely good. I believe nearly everything we ordered (Fried Momo, Chicken Datsi, Lamb Thali) seemed to have had some curry in it and it was the best, most unique food I have had in a long time. Portions were small for the price but the food was excellent. I would recommend trying the chicken or beef in the Thali as the lamb was not as tender as beef usually is and the chicken was excellent in the Datsi so I imagine either would leave one with a slightly better experience than the lamb. It was not disappointing enough to me to drop any stars off the review but I just thought others might like to know.“
“I must say it was an exquisite experience from start to finish. The ambiance is warm and inviting, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. The menu is a culinary masterpiece, offering a diverse range of dishes that cater to various tastes and preferences. From appetizers to desserts, each item on the menu showcases the chef's creativity and dedication to quality ingredients. The presentation of the dishes is nothing short of artistry, making each plate a feast for the eyes before even taking the first bite.“
“Went to this restaurant last night. We tried the buffet. The service was so fast and good. Restaurant was cleaned. The buffet have good options. We tried gol gappe. The balls were perfect but the liquid wasn’t good at all. Noodles were perfect and the sauces all were good. The main meal was perfect. Malai kofta, curry, veg korma, saag all were amazing. Naan was average. Gulab jamun and halwa was amazinggg, taste good. Overall 4/5“
“I recently dined at this Indian restaurant for the dosa night. The crispy texture and flavorful filling made it a delightful experience. The overall meal was a fantastic culinary journey, showcasing the rich and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine.Highly recommend for dosa lovers!“
“The food is the star at this neighborhood Indian restaurant. The butter chicken is excellent, but the southern Indian picks we’ve ventured into are AMAZING. The B2B House Special w/ chicken is our go-to w/ its caramelized onions, charred tomatoes & bell peppers - and super flavorful ginger/garlic brown sauce - OHLALA! Other faves: samosa chaat, garlic naan, vizag Kira (yum curry leaves!!), & dal. All totally reasonably priced. The family that runs it is so earnest and friendly - we just love giving them our business. We’ve mostly ordered takeout, but the other night we ate in the restaurant. It’s BYOB - w/ no corkage! The atmosphere is a bit spartan (eek, dropped ceiling), but they've don’t their best to warm it up and give it some personality. We just love this place!Vegetarian options: Quite a lot of veg options, & the owner at a nearby table recently was bending over backwards to accommodate a vegan. They’ll go the distance to ensure you’re happy!“
