This place left a lot to be desired. It was smaller than I had anticipated. The seating was terrible. We were packed together next to this other couple, and it felt like we were all having dinner together, so decided to sit at the bar.The food wasn’t very good and was not cheap. I will gladly pay that for better quality. Finally, the staff wasn’t very friendly nor attentive. Service at the bar could have been much better and when we asked for recommendations it was very passive.Won’t come back, which is sad because we had hyped this place up for 2 months before going

used to be an affordable and decent gastropub. turned into overpriced generic food with recycled knickknacks from butcher and the rye hanging on the walls.

Drove from Newark,DE to Pittsburgh and one of the big reasons was all of the pictures of the Beef Wellington from Meat & Potatoes. I must say it was absolutely worth it. The wedge salad was also exceptional. My wife loved her lobster bisque. The service was beyond incredible. Our waiter, Richard S, was absolutely OUTSTANDING. 5 stars aren’t enough! I wish he could come to Delaware and show the waiters there how it’s done! I look forward to visiting again.

This is our yearly visit to M&P before a show. We have never had a bad experience, and the food is always beyond compare and expectations. This time around, I got an appetizer feature as my meal, which was a duck thigh on a bed of red potatoes and 2 sauces. I got 2 sides. Fried Brussels and Fingerling Potatoes. Everything was heavenly. The duck cut like warm butter. The bone marrow is always a must! It already comes topped with your garnishes and a side of sliced toast. My partner got the pork chop, which he gets every time because he can't seem to choose anything else, it's that good. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the service. This is more of a formal setting even though guests can roll in casual attire. But the servers (not just this time) always seem to be afraid of interacting with you. They always seem so tense and allergic to fun conversation with the guests, which is awkward. However, Dakota was polite, attentive, and aware of the details of our dining needs and my allergies. We will be back!!

The restaurant itself is beautiful. The bartender was amazing to watch and very personable. Our waiter was prompt and attentive. We had the duck appetizer with sunchokes and it was incredible. Our only complaint is we both had the steak frites and mine was extremely tough. By the time my refire came back my husband had been done eating for at least 15 minutes. It was after 10 at this point and I was just over it. They comped my steak but the manager didn’t seem to care that I didn’t have dinner. The waiter was so apologetic and so nice. Overall, it’s a nice place with good food but I’d recommend a restaurant who’s featured steak isn’t a NY strip.

Driving clients around the city of Pittsburgh is what I do. You always run into interesting people. This particular family was going to dinner, and they were raving about this food! Because I eat at many restaurants, I was immediately interested. They spoke of the venue itself and then the food, which made me hungry. So I decided to park my car and go see what all of this FOOD JOY was all about! This Restaurant was tucked inside next to the Greer Cabaret Theater. I had No reservation but sat at the bar where I was greeted by a very kind bartender by the name of Erin. Her warm demeanor and hospitality were inviting and comfortable. This place is not for the pocket tight person for sure as I will post the menu lol. Yet worth every mouth full. Even the dressing on the Lettuce wedge was delightful ?. Those Coconut Curry Mussels and the Pig Candied Pork Belly were ?. Meat and Potatoes, I SHALL RETURN to experiences Moreeeeeeeeee of these AMAZING DELECTABLES!!!

We love Meat and Potatoes, one of our favorite restaurants. However, I have had season tickets to the Broadway Series and The CLO for 39 years and my tickets are for Tuesday nights. When if ever are they going to reopen Tuesdays?

We shared the duck confit appetizer and the beef Wellington....WOW ...both prepared perfectly and delicious!! We shared the coconut cake - which was the perfect to end a great meal. BTW....to the bartender who was wearing a red shirt....my wife says you make the best Tom Collins in town.
