“We came here for my sister's birthday and ordered crab Rangoon, fried pork belly, vegetable samosa, momo dumplings, red, yellow, and green curries, and also the spicy noodles. The crab Rangoon and fried porkbelly were our table's favorites and the momo dumplings were super tender. The fried chicken breast on the spicy noodles were very tender ? overall a fantastic experience at a super friendly family owned restaurant. Would highly recommend!“
“A few places I frequent are partnered with Panaderia Jazmin, and when I was in the vicinity of this bakery, I had to stop. All the pastries are kept in a self-serve display case. You grab a tray and tongs at the door, and then you fill up your tray with the pastries you want to take home. You hand the tray over at the register, and they package them up for you.I loved all of the items I went home with, and I look forward to stopping there again.“
“The Food and Drinks are Spectacular! The Service is Amazing and attentive!I recommend the Taquitos as a Appetizer!WOW! So Amazing! I can't wait to go back and try some more items.Fish Tacos definitely lived up to the Hype I heard! So Good!!!Highly Recommended!Parking is not an issue a Parking Garage is located just a few steps from the Restaurant. Also it's free Parking under an Hour in the Garage so it's not that bad.Well worth it!“
“5 stars all the way. I'm vegetarian and my server recommended the mushroom taco. OMG. It was crispy oyster mushrooms with the precise amount of heat. I also go the baha fish taco and subbed potato for the fish. The potato was so crispy I thought they messed up my order and gave me fish. It was awesome, I can't wait to enjoy it again! I can't remember my servers name, but she was great too!“
“Incredible! Family owned, service is spot on, and the food is delicious! BEST mole ever. The smoked wings fall off the bone. We keep coming back and each time we like to try something new. We keep inviting friends and telling everyone we know of this amazing spot. The margaritas are delectable. Leo, my only positive suggestion, the food hits the table warm not hot. ?? Xoxo“
“It was a great place for dinner. With a decent amount of vegetarian options, the place had a nice selection of appetizers and entrees to choose from. The drinks menu was also quite nice with some unique drinks. The quantity of the food was really niceBetween 2 of us, we ordered 1 nachos, 1 burrito, 1 pair of tacos and 2 drinks. Quite enjoyed and look forward to having their churros once“
“This Texan transplant never expected to see so many Hispanic staff. We did carry out as we were going through the city but we're pleasantly surprised by the sheet number of Hispanic locals also coming here. After 12 years in Texas and countless vacations in Mexico, this place is pretty legit. The spicy salsa has some pretty good heat so be prepared. Regular mild salsa was mild. For those with food allergies, they accommodated my daughter who is milk/dairy, egg, gluten, nuts/tree nut allergic. Not many can do that on the fly when they don't claim to be, but they did a slamming job (she's didn't get itchy at all).A welcome surprise on this 10 hour road trip! Would definitely recommend this place.“
“So glad we finally stopped in! This place impressed us. We shared the spicy mango salsa, house salsa, Steak Baja burrito (amazing chipotle sauce!) and chicken quesadilla. Everything was tasty, fresh, portions were great, and service was incredibly fast. Excited to frequent!Dietary restrictions: Menu clearly states vegan/vegetarian options and they seem to take gluten sensitivity seriously.“
“I ordered THC from Uber Eats for dinner tonight and it was excellent. The bowl was BIG and made with fresh ingredient; I particularly loved the flavor of the chicken. Definitely recommend the queso and guac too! Like the other reviews say, skip Chipotle and order from The Hungry Cowgirl!“
“This place was fabulous! This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. The menu was very unique but includes a lot of classics. It really has a classy feel to it. Also, the staff were so friendly. I didn't get to have a drink but all the margs looked amazing! Both meals we had were superb my ribeye was very flavorful I loved all the sauces.. not too spicy. I will definitely be back frequently!“
“Gordo's is great! Let me preface this review by saying I love Nashville Hot Chicken but outside of Nashville, TN is has been difficult to find a "hot" chicken that compares to what I've had in Tennessee. Some other places around the Burgh have Nashville Hot Chicken but the spice combinations don't work. At Gordo's the Nashville Hot Chicken Taco is so good with a perfect spice blend. It tastes like hot chicken tacos that I had at Pie Town Tacos in Nashville. Gordo's is the place in Pittsburgh to satisfy your hot chicken craving. Not to mention, their other menu items are delicious too. And they have great margs. My second favorite menu item is the Churoli- A churro and cannoli hybrid that rocks!“
“There's no shortage of restaurants in the South Hills that make good enchiladas, but the seafood enchiladas here are my hands-down favorite and blow everyone else's out of the water! Not only do they feature multiple types of seafood, but the queso and red sauces on top are incredibly good. My husband enjoyed his steak arepas as well.“
“Always super clean and super fresh! I shop there at least once a week, often twice, now a lot of my dishes and sauces are inspired by healthy Mexican cuisine. People usually buy in bulk at the meat counter but when I asked for just a half pound of chorizo to season my sweet potatoes and greens the gentleman was just as nice as could be about it! In my kitchen I blend cultures, a lot of beautiful things happen. Thanks Las Palmas!“
“They have best tacos I ever had. I went here for first time and believe me, this is my favourite from now.I ordered chicken quesadillas, Hard tacos with rice and beans, with overload veggies. Was so so so delicious.I had another soft tacos by their recommendation. It was also good. And 3 leach is fabulous.Highly Highly Recommended.“
“The food at this place as absolutely great. We always compare food with the best Mexican restaurant we’ve ever been to (in Arizona) and this is the closest competitor we’ve had so far. The guacamole was great, so were the deserts. The one complaint we had was the music is so loud it’s hard to talk with people at your own table. We wish the music was a little quieter. Other than that, it was great!Parking: We had to park at the bank. It’s pretty difficult to find parking unfortunately.“
“We order chorizo tacos and burritos from California Tacos. The food is consistently good and full of flavor. The chicken would be a better choice for those who are sensitive to heat. They provide fresh lime slices for the tacos, which is great! Pay cash and avoid the service fee. Love this establishment!“
“This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Pittsburgh area! It’s authentic and delicious. I’m from Texas and finding a spot like this is hard to find. Their tacos de tripitas are my favorite! I don’t think you can get tripitas anywhere in this area that I’m aware of. Highly recommend!“
“We were there yesterday for Valentine’s Day dinner and the food was excellent. They have so many vegan / vegetarian options which was helpful.I loved everything I ordered but especially their vegan chorizo taco. Love the lime kick in it. It was truly love at first bite. The waitron was very sweet and checked on us only when needed unlike many places where they keep intruding. Loved the atmosphere too!Vegetarian options: They had so many vegetarian and vegan options compared to many other restaurants. They have at least 6-7 in their menu itself and a few others that can be made vegetarian / vegan“
“Absolutely overjoyed to have authentic mexican in my neighborhood! As I was born and raised in California, I know the real deal when I taste it and everything we had was truly the best I've had in the 18 years I've lived in Pittsburgh! We look forward to when the dining room opens but in the mean time we will continue to take out and try everything!“
“This place is awesome. The Tacos and Quesadillas are hands down the best I've had in the area. Also, The Staff is incredible. I'm just thankful I live right down the street and can come here often. Thanks guys for offering up delicious food every day.“
“Honestly, one of the best Mexican restaurants around. The staff understood the celiacs concerns we had and made recommendations accordingly. Food was prompt and delicious and GF. Definitely plan to make the trip for another round of grub!!“
“This is a great Mexican restaurant in the south side. We were there a few weeks ago. The place has a lovely vibe and the staff is very friendly. We ordered table side guacamole, birria taco, tamale and enchiladas and a couple of mezcal cocktail the food and drinks we ordered were spectacular.“
“El Rincón is my favorite place in Pittsburgh! I've been going to the food truck for a while now, and I'm so happy I could finally make it out to Carrick to try out the new restaurant. The tacos are always fresh, and the carnitas melt in my mouth. I had the agua de piña last night as well, and it was perfect! I love these guys so much; best of luck with the new restaurant :)“
“If you are looking for authentic TexMex, Fajita Pete's is the best spot in Pittsburgh for it. Everything is made from scratch, including their tortillas. We lived in Austin, TX and this was our first TexMex experience that reminded us of the food down there. Highly recommend!“
“Quirky location, but that only makes it better. Definitely worth the visit. Afteryour first, round two will definitely be on your mind. Also, where else can you get tacos, a sixer, scratchers, and a redballs all in the same spot? Do it! Do it! Do it! ?“
“The food here is always delicious. It reminds me of food down in Mexico. They have the best black beans by far. The service can be slow sometimes, but the food is never bad.Vegetarian options: You can get almost any dish made with no meat if you ask them. They are pretty good about it.“
“The food was good, the service was a little delayed could be because of the language barrier or because they were too busy. The atmosphere was not bad, just made me feel like I was an odd ball out for being there. Other than that everything else made the place great!“
“Don't know why this place doesn't have way more reviews and hasn't blown up yet, but it deserves so much more hype!! Las Palmas has the most authentic tacos I've had anywhere in Pittsburgh. It's essentially a taco stand outside of a Mexican grocery store -- you can't get any more authentic than that! You pay upfront by letting the cashier know how many tacos you want to get (3 was a good amount for a filling meal) and then you go up to the guy cooking and specify which meats you want in your tacos. You can see them literally cooking the meat right in front of you and it smells sooo good. I tried 3 different ones because I couldn't decide. There's a self serve toppings bar w all the classic options (salsas, guac, onions, etc) for you to load up your tacos after you get them freshly handed to you. The tacos were fire. There isn't any seating nearby which is probably my only complaint so we just ate them on some random steps nearby, but it's such a good vibe especially in the summer. If you're looking for tasty, cheap, and authentic tacos in Pittsburgh, this is your place!“
“Too good couldn't take a picture until I was done! Got the chicken quesadilla and it was moist and delicious! Only complaint is it didn't come with salsa on the side! After I ordered I noticed you could add some for 25cents but then the line was too long too get any! It was a huge amount and very filling!“
“Chose tacos and was able to try three proteins without it costing extra. Loved the variety of toppings. The roasted vegetables and mango salsa were delightful. The pickled onions are also very tasty, but adding them will potentially overwhelm everything else on the taco.“
“If you like Mexican food and are in downtown Pittsburgh, make it a point to stop at this restaurant. The place itself has a wonderfully cozy ambience. Ordered the black and gold burrito. It may have a hometown name but it is wonderfully authentic all the way down to the mole sauce and queso dip. Just really flavorful delicious! Definitely going to be back.“
“My wife (from Mexico) says the tacos here are the best she's tried in Pittsburgh! That's high praise!Try the Al Pastor tacos, order them with flour tortillas.Kid-friendliness: They provide high chairs, and have a decent kids' menu. The enchiladas are made to not be spicy at all.“
“The restaurant is in walking distance from the hotel, so it was super easy to get to. The entire staff was friendly from the time I walked in. The restaurant was very clean. The strawberry margarita on the rocks was very good. The food was flavorful and I received it before I could even finish my chips and salsa.“
“This place has very good Mexican food. We're from the Southwest where good Mexican food is easy to find. Finding good Mexican food here has been a challenge. I had the rellenos with chicken, my husband had alambres pollo and both of us were very impressed. The chicken had been marinated & cooked on cast iron before being put inside my relleno which was egg washed and fried! It had amazing layers of flavor. The pico was fresh and crispy. My husband fell in love with the cilantro margarita. We has sopapillas for dessert which were thick, deep fried sopapilla chips with whipped cream, raspberry & chocolate drizzle & a scoop of ice cream. The food had authentic Mexican flavor & the ambiance is warm and welcoming & the use of multiple materials and textures shows the owners pride in his restaurant. We had a table that overlooked Market Square so we people watched & enjoyed Pittsburgh's historic architecture. 10/10“
“Probably one of the best Mad Mex in the city. Definitely the best wait staff around and always a consistently good meal whenever I come. Can't go wrong with any of their sides but the wings and pennsyltucky tofu are the best. The new tortilla soup recipe is bad.“
“LOVED this place and can't wait to go back. The back patio was beautiful and the server told us they fully open it up in the summer. We shared the California Burrito (steak, french fries, guacamole, cheese, and pico - and I added jalapenos for a kick!) and the Shrimp tacos (cabbage, pico, queso fresco, and a chipotle sour cream) with plenty of shrimp. My 9yo son loved the quesadilla, chips and salsa, and the soda selection of course. It was all SO GOOD! I ordered a premium marg and they ask whether or not you want salt which I love because I don't like it. Really nice cocktail and beer selection and a HUGE veg/vegan menu which we can't wait to try for our families meat-free days. Staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I even heard the server speaking both English and then Spanish - she was impressive! Highly recommend!“
“Food was delicious! We had a pupusa with beans and cheese, a chicken burrito (huge) and a torta (also huge), and everything tasted great! The only thing that would have made it better would have been if they served chips and salsa while you wait for your food.“
“We went here with our son and his wife, who live in the area. From the moment we walked in, my stomach was growling from the delicious scent of smoked meats! From the many delectable-sounding choices, I finally chose the pork taco and an apple chicken taco. Wow! The first bite had a kickback of spice that I wasn't expecting, but as I got used to it, I loved it! Oftentimes, spice overrides flavor, but this time, the pork was so tasty that everything blended well! Unfortunately, I didn't get to taste the chicken one I ordered because I was too full. I took it back and ended up forgetting it in my son's fridge. Oh well! My daughter-in-law had recommended it and will enjoy it. We'll just have to go back next time we visit.“
“Great food hall right in the lower north side. I went here on a Friday to meet someone, and it turned out it was 50% off all drinks at the bar (everyday from 4:30-6:30 I believe). I didn't have the opportunity to eat, but it appears there are 4 or 5 restaurants here currently. From what I saw there are a pizza shop, a taco place, wings, and I don't recall the others. Go and check the place out. Particularly nice I've the weather breaks. Follow for more...“
“This location is my favorite of the Emilianos restaurants. The atmosphere has that Mexican courtyard feel-open and relaxed. Even at their busiest times, you don't feel cramped or like others are intruding on your meal. The food is fantastic, fresh, and fast. Camarones ala Mexicana is my favorite, but you can't go wrong with anything. Great for meat-eaters, pescetarians, and vegetarians alike. They even have their own versions of pizza and wings though i haven't tried them.Service is excellent, from hosts to servers.“
“I love the tacos from this place ? in particular the birria quesadilla comes with a side of “consome”where you can dunk it in the traditional way! ? the rice that accompanies the taco is very tasty too and the price is great! without saying that the service is angelic ❤️“
“Edgar's Best tacos in Pittsburgh and like my daughter claims - THE BEST TACOS IN THE WORLD. Wow it's the best ever and the service is amazing. So authentic and we love the place. If you're in the Burgh and over by the Strip District, do yourself a favor and stop by and see Edgar.“
“Maaannnnn when I tell u I been waiting all summer for the Street Corn!!!! I absolutely mean it!!! I have went to other places to try it out and I mean NOBODY have hit that spot like they have!!! I went last Friday and I ordered 3 and jus sat in the car and didn’t have a care in the world!!! Sooo good!!!“
“Wow. This place is authentic and affordable. The food reminds me of my trip to Santa Fe. The portion sizes are ridiculously fair for what your paying as well. Unfortunately as far as the atmosphere goes it's kinda. Hole in the wall. But this overshadowed by the kind service and fair price on food and did I mention how fast the food was ready? 15 mins. To make me a enchilada and quesadilla“
“A little hole in the wall where the Mexican locals go. Both of us ordered the green enchiladas, with rice and beans, they were delicious. The food is more authentic and closer to actual Mexican food than anything I've found in the eastern part of the country. Price is very reasonable and service is excellent. I'm definitely stopping by when in the area.“
“This was a true delight! The atmosphere was very authentic. My server recommended my meal and it was great!!! I had the El Salvador Pupusas! We were there during Happy Hour. I had a 20 oz Margarita, yummy! My husband partakes in the taco Tuesday event. He enjoyed thoroughly! What we loved the most were the prices!!! Definitely add to your list of restaurants to visit!Parking: Parking lot is free and ground level with entrance.Kid-friendliness: Very family oriented“
“We came here for a quick lunch over the weekend and enjoyed our meal here. We were quickly seated and brought menus and water. We all ordered the BYO tacos and they came out super quickly. We devoured our meal and service as attentive throughout. I'm glad I got to check out the South Hills Village location.“
“This Moe's location is somewhat unique in that orders are primarily placed using kiosks (iPad Pros -- nice choice!). You can also order at the counter if you prefer. The employees at this location are very friendly, food is served quickly, and the dining area is clean. Conveniently located on Fifth Ave; frequented by students and hospital workers.“
“I come from a Mexican family in California, so when I moved to Pittsburgh, I was deeply disappointed at the lack of good, authentic Mexican food. When I found this place, I rejoiced! The food is amazing: made with the authentic basics in mind, yet refined with originality. It really feels like home in all the best ways.“
