This is our favorite place to go for wine in the city. The food is excellent and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We no longer live in Pittsburgh, but we always make it a point to visit when we are in town!
I cannot speak more highly of Refucilo Winery! It's such an intimate and lovely establishment. Juan absolutely makes the experience here. I attended an event hosted by the winery and a local foodie group over a year ago. My book club later hosted an event here and we enjoyed empanadas, stuffed mushrooms and so many yummy cheeses in addition to their wines. Refucilo is a must visit! 1000% recommend for bilingual families. The wine flights are amazing and the owner/staff so kind. My parents are Spanish speakers, and often feel left out from having us translate the experience. This time, they were able to fully lean into the wine tasting and connect with Juan Antonio. The empanadas were delicious and paired well with the Refucilo wines.
